Saturday Night Live S47 E03 Recap
Previously on Saturday Night Live Season 47, the Cold Open saw an NFL Press Conference. They spoke about the accusation of racism, misogyny, and homophobia on one of the coaches. From coaches to cheerleaders, everyone had something to say. Moving to host Rami Malek’s opening monologue, talking about him opting to intense characters to his origins.
The skit Bug Assembly at Weymouth Lower School was the first. Andrew Dismukes as a praying mantis who is non-religious, Sarah Sherman as Ladybug, and Rami Malek as Stink Bug joined the show. But it was Bowen Yang’s bug as Danny Longlegs whose walk left everyone floored. After performing on a Squid Game song, we move to auditions contested for the next Prince biopic.
The story for Prince Biopic is more or less musical as well as horror to end with. So, Kenan went up against Rami Malek for the role as they gave their best Prince impersonations. Kenan almost won it for being black until Daniel Craig entered believing its for an actual prince, not the musician. Despite that, he ended up grabbing the role on the first try as he perfectly executed those impersonations.
