Sakura Ayane and Ishikawa Kaito are two very famous people in the anime voice-acting industry in Japan at the moment. She was born on 29 January 1994 in Ebisu, Shibuya. Sakura Ayane has been in the business for quite a long time. Ayane made her voice-acting debut with the movie “Keroro Gunso the Super Movie: Creation! Ultimate Keroro, Wonder Space-Time Island” in 2010. She has played numerous anime characters till now and, hopefully, will continue to do so. She is mostly known for her work in some popular animes like “Your Lie in April”, “Tokyo Ravens”, “Black Clover”, “My Hero Academia” and recently, in “Attack on Titans: The Final Season”. Sakura Ayane has even performed theme and character songs for each of the series. She has also given her voice to roles in multiple video games like Azur Lane, Genshin Impact, and Digimon New Century. She was affiliated with “I’m Enterprise”.
Ishikawa Kaito was born on 13 October 1993 in Bunkyō, Tokyo. Ishikawa wanted roles in Kanon and Genesis of Aquarion, He entered the Pro-fit Voice Actor Training Centre to get better at his craft. He started working in the voice-acting industry in 2012, debuting with ‘Waiting in the Summer’. In 2014, At the 8th Seiyuu Awards, he won the Best rookie award. He also won the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 14th Seiyu Awards on 7 March 2020. While Ishikawa Kaito’s name has been shrouded with a bit of controversy during the year 2020, he still has a lot of voice-acting work under his belt. He is mostly known for his roles in Haikyū!!, Assassination Classroom. One-Punch Man, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, My Hero Academia, Bungo Stray Dogs, etc. Ishikawa Kaito is a versatile actor with many more projects to come. He has worked with Pro-fit Inc for a long time.
Working Together:
Sakura Ayane and Ishikawa Kaito have worked together in quite a few animes. Sakura started her career in 2010, whilst Kaito debuted in 2012. Since the two of them have been in the industry for so long, they are bound to work together sooner or later. They are most known for their work in “My Hero Academia” as the anime has gained fans all over the world now. Ishikawa Kaito plays Lida Tenya and Sakura Ayane plays Ochaco Uraraka.
They also worked together in “Bakuten!!”, with Kaito playing Ryoya Misato, a member of Ao High school’s boy’s rhythmic gymnastics club, and Sakura playing Asawa Kurikoma, the club’s manager. “Tokyo Ravens” is another anime where they had worked together, back in 2013, with Sakura Ayane as Suzuka Dairenji and Ishikawa Kaito as Harutora Tsuchimikado.
Ishikawa played the role of Arthur Pendragon, while Sakura played the role of Gasper Vladi in the supernatural, rom-com anime “High School DxD Born”. The two have even played some minor roles together in “The Pet Girl of Sakurasou”. Many fans were speculating that the two actors might join the same agency, although those were just that, speculation.
Are they really changing agencies?
Sakura Ayane has been associated with I’m Enterprise for quite some time now. But, on 31 January 2022, she announced that she will be departing from her previous agency and joining a new one. A day later, on 1 February, Aoni Production announced that Sakura Ayane had become part of their agency now. The announcement was made via Aoni Production’s official Twitter account.
As for Ishikawa Kaito, he has always worked under Pro-fit Incorporated. But recently, Pro-fit announced that their agency will be shutting down effective from 31 March 2022. They made this announcement on 3 February 2022, last Thursday. This year is the company’s 18th anniversary as the Pro-fit agency was founded on 3 November 2003. As of right now, Ishikawa is affiliated with Stay Luck.
