At these events, Geddy Lee will have a special guest interviewer joining him on stage. He will read important parts from his upcoming book, “My Effin’ Life,” and talk about his thoughts and experiences.

Fans will get to engage in a unique question-and-answer session, where Geddy will personally respond to their questions.

Geddy Lee shared reflects on life in his book

Geddy Lee expressed that writing this book has led him to reflect on his past, which he hadn’t done much before. He usually focuses on looking forward in life, so he hesitated to do something like this for a long time; being in a band for so many years was comforting because it felt like an ongoing journey.

However, writing this book has made him comfort his past, and he hopes that completing it will free him to return to what he loves most- making music.

The UK tour will start in Wolverhampton, and end in Lon don, with North American dates yet to be announced. Each UK ticket purchased will include a copy of the book, thanks to the tour partner Waterstones.

Geddy Lee memoir announcement

Geddy Lee announced his memoir in September 2021 through an Instagram post, where he shared how he spent his time during the pandemic, including writing and reflecting on his life.

He mentioned that the book project began when his friend Daniel Richler encouraged him to share stories from his life, and it gradually evolved into a full-fledged memoir.

In September 2022, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, along with other musicians, paid tribute to the late FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins on stage in Los Angeles. They had also reunited earlier in 2022 at Red Rocks and the London edition of the Hawkins tribute.

Geddy Lee is a Canadian musician, most famous for being the singer, bass player, and keyboardist in the rock band Rush.

He joined the group in September 1968 when his childhood friend Alex Lifeson asked him to join, taking over from the original bassist and frontman, Jeff Jones. In 2000, Geddy Lee also released a solo album called “My Favourite Headache”.

In 2013, after being eligible for 14 years, the band Rush was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
