The producers have updated that the variety show Running Man will not air this week. They updated this through their official Instagram page on 18th March. According to them, it’s for the safety precaution of everyone involved with the show.
The decision has been taken while keeping in mind the health status of the people involved with the show. A special episode will be there this week to make sure of a safe production environment.

Running Man To Not Air This Week
The South Korean variety show Running Man will not be airing this week. The producers of the show have shared this piece of news on 18th March. They mentioned how due to the onset of the coronavirus, a special episode would be aired to ensure a safe and healthy production environment.
They have asked for cooperation along with love and support as the step taken is for the safety of the cast and crew involved in making the show.
Meanwhile, Running Man will continue with its journey by adhering to all the safety protocols issued by the disease control authorities.
The show has been a fan favorite for many years, and the step taken is to ensure safety for everyone. It started on 11th July 2010. The show focuses on different individuals who participate in a championship race where they have to compete against one another to win an esteemed title. Previously, the show was an urban variety. However, with time, it went on to become a family reality that mainly stressed games. It even made it to the business list on 20 TV shows on Business Insider’s list in 2016. Not only that, but the show has contributed to the Hallyu wave and is extremely popular in many parts of Asia.
On the other hand, the coronavirus has taken a surge, and starting from Kpop idols to actors, lots of artists from South Korea’s entertainment industry have been affected by the virus. Recently Changbin and Han from Stray Kids also were diagnosed with Covid-19.
