Season 6 of Riverdale has returned, and we’re finally seeing the fallout from Hiram’s fiery exit. I have to say that getting superpowers was not high on my list of things that may happen to Betty and Archie if they heard a bomb under their bed. At this point, nothing in Riverdale could really surprise me. “Challenge accepted!” yells the writer’s room presently. They do, however, have a knack for keeping their audience on their toes. That is something you must provide.
So Archie now has super strength and invincibility, Betty now has super serial killer eyesight, or aura sensing abilities, Bingo now has regeneration abilities, and Jughead…is growing deaf. What a case of getting the short end of the stick. Riverdale season 6, episode 6 felt like an exciting continuation of the “Rivervale” event that spanned the season’s first five episodes. Not only does the town seem to be haunted by some type of enchantment, but there was also a noticeable stylistic difference from an usual Riverdale episode.
This episode felt like a combination of a criminal thriller and one of the CW’s Arrowverse episodes. It was a cross between a superhero origin narrative and a procedural drama. And it was clearly more like a DC story arc than a Marvel one, as it immediately became gloomy.
Riverdale Season 6 Episode 6 Review: The Repercussions
After the previous episode’s blast. Betty, Archie, and Jughead are seated in Alice and Frank’s kitchen, telling them what occurred. Archie and Betty hid beneath the kitchen table after receiving the call, just as the bomb went off while Jughead was in the garage.
Archie and Frank return to the house to inspect the damage and Archie recounts the events to Frank. They hear a moan and find Bingo is suffocating beneath the debris. They take him to the vet, where he breaks all four of his legs while still alive, so they have to keep him there for a week to watch his recuperation.
Internal Changes
Betty, Archie, and Jughead all appear to be suffering from the aftermath of the explosion. After strolling right past a nail that shreds part of his shirt but not his shoulder, Archie finds he’s not only gaining weight at an exponential pace and becoming thicker, but he’s also becoming almost invulnerable. He puts it to the test on wood, punching holes in walls, and even cutting himself with a knife. All of this passes through his skin without piercing it.
Meanwhile, Betty has developed the ability to sense people’s auras and feel their energy when they are threatening. If someone isn’t good, she can see red coming off of them. She observed an orderly, Trevor, staring at her at the hospital, for example, and noticed red everywhere around him. A nurse is discovered dead behind the hospital not long after that. Glen, whom she hits at the FBI office, is also an obvious pick.
Betty confronts Trevor about the crime and his previous employment, which he was fired from, with the assistance of Archie. They later acknowledge to each other their individual abilities, and Archie explains that he’s frightened of hurting people, especially her. Betty, on the other hand, seems unconcerned about her safety.
Jughead, on the other hand, discovers that he has a hearing problem. He can barely hear anything, and getting his attention takes a long time. He discovers that he is 98 percent deaf in his left ear and 87 percent deaf in his right after visiting a doctor. Archie’s dog, Bingo, has also had a side effect. The explosion broke all four of his legs, but they healed quickly.
Ghouls Against Serpents
Fangs have had enough of the Ghoulies and have decided to go nuclear. Toni says they have to be cautious because of Baby Anthony. Twyla Twist appears to be the new leader of the Ghoulies. Toni advises they summon her for a meeting to try to de-escalate the situation.
Twyla and her Ghoulies meet down with Toni, Fangs, and two Serpents, and she discloses that Hiram paid them a lot of money to kill Archie. Fangs and Toni visit Archie Andrews and inform him about Twyla and the Ghoulies. While Toni advises him to leave Riverdale as soon as possible for his own safety, Archie has other plans, including testing his new abilities with the group. Twyla gives Toni a call regarding Archie and tells her that nothing is off the table at this point. The Serpents have been proclaimed enemies by Twyla Twist. While Toni and Fangs deal with the Serpents and Ghoulies, Kevin is alone with Baby Anthony.

Riverdale Is Under A Curse
Cheryl assumes it’s because of Abigail’s curse as word of the explosion travels around Riverdale and Thornhill. Nana Rose burned the curse, therefore she wants to study it so she can reverse it. Cheryl isn’t going to take it lightly, so she heads to the Blossom Library to brush up on her knowledge. Cheryl is able to reverse the curse she set on her pals within 24 hours by performing a ritual. Cheryl soon discovers, however, that the ritual’s candles are no longer lighted, indicating that they can no longer be performed. She repeats the procedure, and the same thing occurs.
Britta is blowing out the candles when Cheryl wakes up in the middle of the night. It’s not Britta, though. It’s Abigail on the other end of the line. Nana Rose assumes that Abigail’s spirit was brought back when she summoned the curse when Cheryl finds her and tells her about Britta. Britta is now under Abigail’s influence at night. They must exile Abigail in order to get rid of her. Cheryl enters the chapel after the exile and blows out the candles. Nana Rose expresses her delight at seeing her again. It’s Abigail on the other end of the line. During Abigail’s banishment, Nana Rose chanted an incantation that guided her to her new vessel, which was far more suitable for her.
Hiram Lodge Is On The Run
Veronica talks with Betty, knowing that her father is most likely responsible for the explosion. She tells Veronica that the device was either planted by Hiram or someone paid by him. The FBI has launched a manhunt, and Veronica intends to contact Hermosa for any and all information that would aid in his capture. Hermosa agrees on the condition that she be granted immunity. While the FBI office is crammed with agents and wanted posters featuring Hiram’s photo, Veronica conducts her own inquiry to find her father. A more long-term answer is required. Hiram’s head is on the line, and she’s putting a bounty on his head.
Veronica has a change of heart after Reggie’s father suffers a heart attack and is admitted to the hospital, and she has a heart-to-heart with Reggie. She tries to stop it by calling her bounty hunter, but he says it’s already over. Hermosa dials Veronica’s number, perplexed as to why she did what she did. Their father was he. Veronica claims she did what she had to do. Hermosa warns her sister to keep a close eye on her because blood will inevitably lead to bloodshed. She’s a woman who has been identified as such. Glen stops at Pop’s for takeout after being beaten up by Archie, before succumbing to the one and only Trash Bag Killer.
Final Thoughts On Riverdale Season 6 Episode 6
Jughead could be the wildcard in all of this spooky discourse. His hearing loss could just be a result of being too close to a bomb blast, but is there more to this storyline than meets the eye? Could this be the start of a power show for him as well? The “death” of Hiram Lodge was a startling twist, but it was executed poorly. Why kill your biggest evil guy off-screen when you could show him off in the season 5 finale? Unless, of course, he’s still alive… which, given that we’re talking about Riverdale, is a distinct possibility.
What Will Happen In Riverdale Season 6 Episode 7?
We don’t recommend taking the title of episode 7 “Death at a Funeral” literally; it’s a reference to a film. This is partly due to the fact that this show has a penchant for killing people. If you’ve watched it on a regular basis over the years, you’re probably already aware of this. So, what is the episode’s core theme? Archie will be spending a lot of time attempting to reconstruct his life. We’ll just have to wait and see how some of it pans out because he has a lot of work ahead of him.
The following is the plot summary for Riverdale Season 6 Episode 7. After the explosion at the Andrews home, Archie assembles a crew to assist in the reconstruction of his home, while Jughead adjusts to his new situation.
