The Monarch of Frost’s defeat begins with Solo Leveling Season 2, Chapter 167, with Sung Jinwoo meeting with his father, who saved him when The King of Beast and Monarch of the Frost assassinate him. Solo Leveling Season 2 reveals the battle between Sung Jinwo and the Monsters for a while until Sung Jinwoo learns the truth from the King of Dead and returns to defeat the enemies. From the latest Solo Leveling Season 2 chapter, Sung Jinwoo confronts his father, asking him why he saved him from the first battle. His father talked about the Gate where Demonic Beasts emerges.

He reveals that the Hunter clearing the Dungeon must leave after killing the boss within an hour. That was Sung Jinwoo’s father’s first mission as the Hunter. But he got trapped inside the Dimensional Rift. The Rulers grant him strength and ask him to stop The Monarchs and the Shadow Monarch, who will arrive soon in this world. But his father failed to escape the Dungeon using all the means and didn’t have a choice. He decided to come back to the Earth as The Rulers Emissary with bigger responsibility.

Sung Jinwoo’s father failed to do his mission even though he knew that the worst Calamity of Humans was within that body. He could only watch from the distance while The Rulers vowed to stop The Shadow Monarch. But they end up changing their mind, and The Brightest Fragment of Light gave Sung Jinwoo’s father a new order. They told him to protect The Shadow Monarch after finding that they needed the power of The Shadow Monarch to stop the Monarch’s plan. The Soldier of the King of Dragons was the one that could prevent the destruction.

The Soldiers of the King of Dragons were expected to arrive before the Soldiers of the Heavens. But it was risky since no one knew if they would ally with Humans or Monarchs. That is why Sung Jinwoo’s father decided to help his son Sung Jinwoo and side with Humans.  He told his son that he didn’t want to reveal this side of him, and his body began to flow with yellow flashes of lightning. Sung Jinwoo addresses him as Dad, and his father asks him if he hates him.

But he always hates it when he thinks about his father, and he realizes that he misses his father. Sung Jinwoo asks his father if he misses the whole family. The father replies that he always misses his family, and he begins to shed tears. Even though Sung Jinwoo couldn’t see him, he was happy that he could see him from a distance.

The two embraced each other, and they both cried. Sung Jinwoo rolls his fists and asks if The Rulers are controlling and making him get separated from the family. The father replies that they allow him to choose what he wants. But he decided to protect Sung Jinwoo, and he will never regret it. After hearing that, Sung Jinwoo unrolls his fist, and his father begins to vanish with yellow light and apologizes. Sung Jinwoo’s mother saw everything by the window.
