WWE announced Tuesday, 20 June 2018, that they released Big Cass from his contract. The question in everyone’s mouth is, why was Big Cass released from WWE? It is still not clear, but we have some information regarding the matter, that may be the main reason why Big Cass was fired.
‘Big Cass Released From WWE
Big Cass signed a development deal with WWE back in 2011, and Cass has been part of WWE’s main roster since 2016. WrestleVotes on twitter posted this:
Asked what happened with Cass. Source is tied up at the moment, however said “Big man pissed someone off, bad”
I also know this happened within the last few hours, not necessarily the “pissing off” but the decision. Not at the PPV as Cass worked the house show last night.

It may not be the main reason for Big Cass’ release from WWE but Ryan Satin from ProWrestlingStreet speculated that ‘going against a directive’ during his match with Daniel Bryan on Smackdown last month might have contributed towards his release. It was reported that Big Cass went off-script during his fight with a Daniel Bryan.
WWE’s official website also posted the following, “WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass).” There are no official words from Big Cass himself, we will update this post, as soon as we have more information on the issue.
