Guardians Of The Galaxy actor Dave Bautista who plays the role of Drax is unsure about his return as Drax in MCU. After Disney fired James Gunn before Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3; Dave has been aggressive about Disney’s actions. The actor has been reshooting for Avengers 4 and has indicated doubt on his return as Drax.
In the Jonathan Ross Show, Dave talked about the firing of James Gunn and said, “It’s a bitter, bitter conversation because I’m not really happy with what they’ve done with James Gunn, they’re putting the movie off, it’s on hold indefinitely. To be honest with you, I don’t know if I want to work for Disney.”
James Gunn has criticised after some of his old posts came into light after he actively opposed Donal Trump and his supporters, they took advantage of the old posts in which James wrote insensitive things about pedophilia, transmisogyny, and other topics. James continually insisted that they all were just jokes. But the publicity was done to such an extent that Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn decided to fire him.
Since then Dave Bautista and other actors including Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, and many of the other lead actors signed a petition for bringing back James Gunn to which Disney refused. But we will see what Disney ultimately does with Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. Dave has also tweeted in support for James saying that it is ‘nauseating’ to work for people who support this whole campaign by fascists. Dave will reappear in Avengers 4, but we will have to wait and see what Dave has in mind for the next Volume of Guardians Of The Galaxy.
