With the beginning of the new month, Radio City is also back with something new. The initiative is old and has been going for a decade, but the opportunities are all new. The radio network is bringing back its reality singing show for all the aspiring singers residing all over the country. Radio City announced that the channel would be coming back with its decade-old competition “Super Singer” in 2021 and released the important dates for the audition. Super Singer has been one of the major radio shows and has been giving chances to singing talents of India.
Radio City is one of the private radio channels on the Indian Radio network. Powered by the Jagran Media group, the channel has been running since 2001. Broadcasting on 91.1 megahertz, the channel started with covering the four major metro cities, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and New Delhi. Over the two decades, the channel has expanded itself to other cities in UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Bihar. Other than blasting the Bollywood and Regional music hit, Radio City offers some amazing interviews and podcasts with eminent personalities and their RJs.
Radio City Super Singer 2021: What Are The Audition Dates?
Radio City has already announced the audition dates for “Super Singer” 2021. The audition began on 25th August 2021 and will go on till 12th September 2021. The audition process will be happening online with the help of an interactive voice response system. All the aspiring singers and musicians can send their audition videos to the radio channel through their social media account and the Radio City micro-website. The finale of the show will take place by the end of September. The previous seasons have had their finale organized in public with a huge audience. But due to the pandemic limitations and restrictions, the finale will be held online. The finale will take place on 26th September 2021, on the site “radiocity.in”.
The show started back in 2008. The singing show has helped a lot of singers to gain some recognition in the industry, including artists like Harjot Kaur, Bharti Gupta, and Manya Narang. It is not yet announced that how the channel will be picking the winner. Till last year, the judges used to pick the top 5 singers from the states that speak Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, and Kannada. Radio City would invite them to the final battle. Last year’s judges’ panel included Kailash Kher, composer Ghibran, music director Chaithan Bharadwaj, rapper All Ok, and singer Sangeeta Rajeev. While Kailash Kher will again be taking the judge’s seat this year, Radio City is yet to announce other judges. This year the winner might be picked through the voting system.
