Queen Elizabeth, the world’s oldest and longest-reigning monarch, for a whole seven decades, was under the limelight for the past few days. First for announcing her “sincere wish” that Camilla, the wife of her heir Prince Charles, should ultimately be known as Queen Consort when Prince Charles would take over the throne! And now she is again the matter of the latest gossip! This time not for her bold decisions but her health! Today on 20th February 2022, Sunday, Buckingham Palace said that the queen has tested positive for COVID. They said that her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms. However, she expects to continue some light duties at Windsor over the coming week! The Palace had also added that the Queen will continue to receive medical attention and most importantly would follow all appropriate guidelines!
Queen Elizabeth tested positive for Covid-19 at the age of 95!
The Queen of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms, Elizabeth II has received three jabs of coronavirus vaccine and yet she test positive for Covid-19. And this shows the severity of the virus! The sad news paved the way soon after the news of the queen’s heir Prince Charles, 73 being tested positive for a second time for the coronavirus. Which was announced on 10th February, two days after he met his mother at Windsor Castle, west of London. Along with that, the Queen’s daughter-in-law Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has also recently contracted Covid-19.
The Queen who is believed to be triply vaccinated had last week resumed her in-person audiences at the castle. Following this, she came under the spotlight when she complained to one attendee of suffering from stiffness. Surprisingly, she was also photographed holding a walking stick. As soon as the news of her being positive surfed the web, wishes from all the parts of the world had knocked on the doors of the Palace! The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi writes that he wishes Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth a speedy recovery. He had also prayed for her good health! The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson writes that he wishes Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from Covid plus a rapid return to vibrant good health!
