Bashar Barakah Jackson, or as we all know professionally as Pop Smoke, was born on July 20, 1999, in Canarsie, Brooklyn, he was an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and even considered by many as the face of Brooklyn drill. Pop Smoke began his musical career in late 2018 with his debut with his single “Mpr (Panic Part 3 Remix)”, and was able to pop up to fame with this release. Following up on the investigation of his murder, four people were charged in July 2020. According to the investigation report, The defendants broke into the Hollywood Hills home where Pop Smoke was staying at the time of around 4 am, and then the 15-year-old suspect shot the artist. The defendants are currently on trial, but the alleged 15-year-old shooter has admitted in a recorded interview at a juvenile detention center that he was the one who shot Pop Smoke.
