Finally, the Pokemon Go GAME_MASTER file got it’s final update before the Halloween event goes live. Now that we have all things needed, let the spooky fun begin. In this Blog Post, we will be going through all the new information that we have extracted from the GAME_MASTER files.

The update was entirely targeted at enabling the new Gen-3 Pokemon for the Halloween event. This is the last update required for the event — Niantic can activate the spawns at any moment now. This update, added in required information like movesets and Base Capture Rates and Base Flee Rates.

The majority of Pokemon received similar Ghost and Dark-type moves, with notable exceptions for Sableye and Dusclops. It’s nice to see Niantic adding variety to the move pools, even if these Pokemon are not super strong. Thus improving the Pokemon’s usability in battles. Below we have Broken down all the information obtained from the GM file.
