PlayStation Classic Pre-Order Success And Update

Gamers currently love the new PlayStation 4, and its enhanced versions but, if you think that the all-time classic console, the first one has faded away then you are in for a real shock. The miniature PlayStation console is super popular, well, it’s not an obvious one but, even after so many years since the debut of the original PlayStation, the pre-order details of this new miniature version proves why it is still among the favorites.

PlayStation Classic: Pre-Order Success:

According to a recent post from VGR, the pre-order has been going extremely crazy as the retailers are dealing with a surge of customers and online giants like Amazon, Wallmart has already run out of stocks while only limited amounts are available at Target and GameStop.

Pre-ordering the console also have its own benefits as you’ll get two classic style controllers along with the main console and you’ll also get a total of 20 classic games that will be loaded via the memory slots just like the old times. The full list is yet to be revealed, however, according to VGR, few of the included ones are Final Fantasy VII, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, Jumping Flash and Wild Arms.

Jim Ryan also said something about the backward compatibility issue. He said, “When we’ve dabbled with backward compatibility, I can say it is one of those features that is much requested, but not actually used much. That, and I was at a Gran Turismo event recently where they had PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 games, and the PS1 and the PS2 games, they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?”

This is quite an interesting statement made by him and was very well pointed out. If they are of the opinion that nobody loves to play ancient or old classics in this modern age, then why the need of selling the PlayStation Classic. There has to be more story in it, or else it just sounds their ignorance towards the importance of Backwards compatibility.
