Platinum End Episode 8 reveals the God Candidate, Mukaido, and Mirai chasing the serial killer, Girl A and Metropoliman. Girl A has been killing girls after toying with their honor, and Mirai heads out with Mukaido to capture Girl A, but they thought they would meet with Metro. During the battle, Girl A blasts Mukaido, but Mirai catches him before hitting the ground. From Platinum End’s latest episode, Mirai tells Mukaido not to die since he doesn’t want to see anyone dying. Mukaido wakes up and reveals that the blast suit he wore helped him get protected.
They realize that he wants to use White Arrows to kill humans. Mukaido tells Mirai to be happy since no one has died, but Girl A might have died with the blast. He notices that Metro has arrived in a weird costume. Metro told Mirai that he was taking Mukaido’s powers. Mirai is angry that Metro is killing people to gain powers that no one will compete with him as God Candidate. Metro reveals that the Wings and the Arrows that he received made him do that. Mirai asks if it is okay to kill people.
Metro knows that it is wrong to kill, but he has to do that to become God. He tells Mirai that sacrifices must be made, and he has to kill to make the process quickly. Mirai wonders why Metro used Girl A and killed her after she kills middle school girls. He reminds him how important friends and families are. Metro reveals that he knows since he has lost the family member he loved the most. Mukaido got up and told Mirai that they couldn’t convince Metro, but they had to defeat him.
Previously on Platinum End Episode 7
Metro told the two that they could make it a day that no one dies for no reason. The citizens are panicking and wondering if it is a terrorist attack. The news reporters reveal the news about Girl A. Revel and Saki are at home watching everything from TV. Revel told Saki not to worry since everything would be okay. The two notice that Metro vs. Mirai and Mukaido is taking place at the Grand Tower.
The reporters reveal that they are seeing Metropoliman, who last appeared at Jinbo Stadium. Saki saw that Nasse was there helping Mirai. Mirai and Mikaido decided to take 2v1 against Metro. Mukaido realizes that they have to avoid letting Metro escape and capture them without getting killed. They know that they are not potent enough to kill Metro. Mukaido reminds Mirai to prevent their Wings and Arrows from being taken away.
If Metro managed to do that, he would suddenly climb rank and become God and stop killing humans. But when he becomes God, he will make humans and Angels suffer until he retires from God’s throne. Mukaido thinks that if they hit Metro with a Red Arrow, they will end those dramas.
They wonder why Metro is not trying to escape since he loves to kill God’s Candidates. But he is at a disadvantage since it is two on one. Mukaido realizes that Metro will never fight when he is at a disadvantage, which is surprising to him. They wonder if Metro has other plans or scheming on something. Metro asks the two what they are talking about, but that will end when he kills them. He summons Meyza to assist him, and the two realize that was his plan.
