The Shelby brothers are back with a bang. 27th February 2022 should be marked as the ‘Peaky Blinders Day’. The fans are thrilled as well as emotional at the same time. The streaming of Season 6 was delayed due to the ongoing pandemic, still, the fans waited for a long time for the new season. The new season is definitely incomplete without everyone’s favorite Aunt Polly. Helen McCrory, who played an incredible role of Polly Gray in the previous seasons of Peaky left for the heavenly abode in the April of 2021 due to breast cancer. Episode 1 of Season 6 commences with a tribute to the matriarch of the Shelby family, Polly Gray.
There will always be a void during the entire season. Although, the fans once again got a chance to enjoy the remarkable performance of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby. The first episode is ardently loved by the fans. The episode is named as ‘Black Day’ and such a high rating proves the craze of the viewers for season 6th of Peaky Blinders.
In Remembrance of the Peaky Blinders Queen
The memory of Aunt Polly will be with us throughout the season. Her performance, acting, and gestures were so on point in the previous seasons and no one can ever match the level of her performance. However, the show must go on and should raise a toast in her remembrance. In the first episode, it reveals when Tommy Shelby was returning from the field to take the son of Barney and Gold. He also finds a third person and later discovers the person as Aunt Polly. The cremation of Aunt Polly takes place with the age-old Shelby tradition of burying with loved possessions. Her face was covered throughout that particular scene.
Leap Forward to Four Years
Episode 1 of season 6 takes a leap forward of four years. Thomas Shelby returns back stronger than ever to do his business. Tommy is also seen reciting poetry in the new episode, which is definitely a treat to witness. The series has begun with more suspense than the previous seasons.
Aftermath of the Peaky Matriarch’s death
Fans, as well as Tommy, duly miss Aunt Polly. She was the most faithful and trusted person of Thomas Shelby. He now has no one to his side while battling with all the business problems. All the guidance and experience of Aunt Polly has backed Tommy till now, but now he has lost the house of all insights and has to do everything on his own.
Strong Comeback of Thomas Shelby
In the final episode of season 5, we see Tommy Shelby on the verge of killing himself by pulling the trigger of the gun. But his brother, Arthur Shelby had already taken off the bullets from the gun. There was a click but we can not expect the main lead of the show to have a fate like this. He has the entire Shelby family and the Shelby Company Limited to look after, so he comes back stronger in the new season.

What happened to Tommy’s wife Lizzie and children?
Approaching the end of the first episode of season 6, Lizzie contacts Tommy to tell him that they can not meet in Boston as they planned earlier. This is because their daughter, Ruby was ill and the doctor had advised them to not travel. Tommy was concerned for Ruby’s health but he lost his calm instantly when he learned that Johnny’s kids were teaching his daughter the Gypsy language. He asked Lizzie to not send her to school and keep Ruby away from the river and their horses. Tommy asks Lizzie to tie a Black Madonna around her daughter Ruby’s neck.
Episode 1 has intrigued the viewers. Season 6 is now streaming on BBC One, which is available only in the United Kingdom. Peaky Blinder fans outside the United Kingdom will have to wait for a few weeks for the new season to telecast on Netflix.
