The fifth season of Peaky Blinders is something that we all have been waiting for. The fourth season came out in November 2017, and it was shortly announced that the show would be getting renewed for a fifth season. This was only normal considering how well the fourth season had performed. The fans are desperately waiting for the release of the fifth season, and they might have to hold on for bit longer.
BBC confirmed that the show would be coming back for its fifth season. The announcement confirmed that Peaky Blinders season 5 would not air in 2018 but 2019. So, the fans have to wait for a bit longer to see the cast back together. The show also made an announcement regarding about moving away BBC Two. The new season will air on BBC One. The filming for the fifth season began in the autumn of 2018.
Steve Knight confirmed that the show would begin filming in the autumn of 2018. He also said that the show would air in the spring of 2019. He said, “My ambition is to make it a story of a family between two wars, so always I have wanted to end it with the first air raid siren in Birmingham in 1939. It’ll take three more series [to reach that point].”

There have been a lot of rumors that the show will finally be coming to an end with the fifth season. There has been any official word on that yet. When asked about season five being the last, Knight said that with the goal that he has set in mind, the show would end maybe in season six. He also said that there is a chance that season six might happen.
“It’s possible, the momentum of this show is quite extraordinary in that it seems to be getting bigger and more popular and there seems to be more energy with each one.”, he said.
