Peaky Blinders enjoyed one of its most successful seasons last year, and we have more to look forward to as the show is coming back with the fifth season later this year. In this post, I’ll be discussing what we know about Peaky Blinders Season 5 in detail. Make sure that you’re caught up with the series by now because this post will contain massive spoilers. If you are not bothered by spoilers, we can continue.
Despite John Shelby’s death, the majority of the cast has survived and will be back for Peaky Blinders Season 5. There has been talking going on about the show getting two more seasons after season 5, so that’s great news for all the fans. Steven Knight expects season seven to mark the end of the show, so we still have three more seasons to go.
“My ambition is to make it a story of a family between 2 wars, so always I have wanted to end it with the first air raid siren in Birmingham in 1939. It will take three more series [to reach that point],” he explained.

Peaky Blinders Season 5 Release Date
The fourth season of the show premiered back in November 2017, so we’d normally expect the show to be back towards the end of 2018. That’s how most shows do it. However, that’s not going to be the case with Peaky Blinders Season 5. The BBC has confirmed that Peaky Blinders Season 5 will return in 2019. The show is still in its production phase, and it will take some time to finish up the season before it is released. An exact release date of the show isn’t known yet. However, it was confirmed earlier this year that Peaky Blinders would move to BBC One for Season 5.
