Hey guys. Bartholomew Kuma is one of the Seven Royal Warlords who serve the World Government. Kuma was first introduced at Thriller Bark. During that time, Kuma was sent to end Luffy’s life. But, Zoro and Sanji stepped in to save Luffy’s life. We know that it gave rise to one of the best scenes in the series. After the events of Thriller Bark, the Straw Hats moved on to their next destination. However, they would encounter Kuma at Sabaody Archipelago.
Kuma came to Sabaody and saved the Straw Hats from the assault of Pacifistas and Sentoumaru. Kuma sent all the Straw Hats to different locations. But, how did it Kuma know where to send them? When you see where the Straw Hats landed, it is clear that Kuma perfectly knew that where he was sending the Straw Hats. So, there’s a theory that proves how Kuma was able to send the Straw Hats away. This is not my theory so the credits go to the owner. Let’s begin with the theory.
When English words are introduced to the Japanese language, they can become corrupted when they are shortened or mispronounced.
For example in English, the acronym VIP has each letter in the acronym pronounced (vee-ai-pee), but in Japanese, it is pronounced as it looks: vip (as in it rhymes with the word tip). This brings us to the main point of the theory. One thing that everyone has noticed about Kuma is that Kuma carries a book with him all the time.
He carries around a book entitled Bible. Kuma as I already said sent the Straw Hats to different locations which certainly looks that he did it deliberately. Now consider these facts:
The word Bible can be read in Japanese as biburu (like bee-boo-roo). The One Piece term Vivre Card is read in Japanese as ビブルカード or biburukādo. I believe that the book that Bartholomew Kuma carries around is an index of Vivre Cards of important and significant people.
Notice that when he asks people where they would like to go, he is flipping through his Bible. When looking through it, he is confirming a target person’s location so he can send the individual in front of him to that location with a certain degree of accuracy. Kuma’s devil fruit is able to send people to a location in the blink of an eye. So, it’s a perfect fit for him.
That’s it from me.
How Did Blackbeard Manage To Injure Shanks? — Explained
Hey guys. Blackbeard and Shanks have a lot of history between them. Both of them are annoyed at the sight of one another. But, why is that? For this we have to go back to Shanks’ and Whitebeard’s meeting in the New World. During their meeting, Shanks asked Whitebeard to recall Ace from his mission of killing Blackbeard. Shanks revealed that the scars that he had on his left eye were because of Blackbeard.
Shanks had anticipated that Blackbeard wasn’t up to any good long ago. This raises the question, how did Blackbeard give Shanks the scars and why? Rewind 12 years back to the current timeline. During that time, Shanks had actually made Windmill Village of east Blue his base for at least a year. He also had scars on his eye. Shanks had also managed to seize the Gomu Gomu no Mi from another pirate. The same devil fruit was eaten by Monkey D. Luffy.
Despite being so young, Shanks was known throughout the Grand Lines. It was because of his duels with the current strongest swordsman in the world, Dracule Mihawk. According to the theory, Shanks wasn’t a Yonko yet but was a very powerful pirate nonetheless. During one of his adventures, he comes across the Gomu Gomu no Mi and he takes it. I’d like to point out that the Gomu Gomu no Mi and the Yami Yami no Mi look very similar in colour and shape.
Now Blackbeard in his hunt for the Yami Yami no Mi hears/sees that Shanks obtained the purple devil fruit and mistakes the Gomu Gomu no Mi for the Yami Yami no Mi. Blackbeard goes and fights Shanks and whether Blackbeard overpowers Shanks or somehow sets a trap is unknown. But, somehow Blackbeard manages to scar Shanks. During their fight Shanks learns something about Blackbeard or obtains shocking information that makes Shanks question himself and the era.
As a result of this he recluses himself to the weakest sea to gather his bearings.
