One Piece Episode 864 is going to be an incredible episode, and you know that already by seeing the preview of the episode. The anime is doing exceptionally well lately, and Whole Cake Island has been an incredible experience for me. I think Toei executed it better than the manga and I know some of the manga elitists won’t like to see this opinion of mine, but as someone who is a fan of both anime and manga, I think the anime did justice to Whole Cake Island arc.
We have yet to see the epic conclusion of the Whole Cake Island arc, and then we have Reverie, so next year is going to be great for all the fans. I’m expecting the anime to step up and deliver even better content in 2018. I’m sure Toei won’t let us down at all. Anyway, coming back to One Piece Episode 864, the episode won’t be aired this week.
One Piece Episode 864 Release Date
You have probably heard that already. However, if you haven’t, I’ll you in on it. One Piece Episode 864 will not air next Sunday because Dragon Ball Super is getting a special just before the movie airs. This Sunday, One Piece’s timeslot will be taken by Dragon Ball Super, along with Kitaro’s timeslot. We’ll get to see a one-hour special in the anime, which will recapitulate the events of the Tournament of Power, and maybe even the other parts of the anime.
Meanwhile, One Piece will not return. This means we won’t be able to watch Big Mom go up against the Strawhat Pirates at all. We also won’t be able to see Luffy struggling against Katakuri in the Mirror World. The battle between the two is finally heating up. Luffy will only get better from here on out, and Katakuri will try to his to put an end to Luffy’s stubbornness. The next episode is going to be great, but we won’t be seeing it next Sunday.
