One Punch Man Season 2 is finally within reach now, with a release date for the showing having been announced recently. In the last few months, we’ve seen a lot of drama going on in the One Punch Man community regarding the release date of the series. It was initially rumored to come out in 2020, but that’s not the case anymore. An official release date for the series made it clear that One Punch Man would return in 2019.
Now that we know when we can expect One Punch Man Season 2 to come out, we can discuss the next season in detail. Be warned though; this post may contain a lot of spoilers. If you don’t want to be spoiled, I suggest you stop reading the post here. But if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started.
Ever since One Punch Man premiered, fans have been waiting for a second season to come out. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a second season soon enough, and it took three years for the franchise just to get an announcement out.
One Punch Man Season 2: Release Date
On August 12, it was announced that One Punch Man would return officially in April 2019. While this is great news for all this who wanted a second season, it puts the quality of the upcoming season in question. One Punch Man Season 2 is still in works right now. The trailer that we got in August wasn’t even animated completely.
J.C Staff still has a lot of work to do, and I’m worried that if they rush things, we will end up with a low-quality anime season. I hope I’m wrong, but don’t keep your expectations for the next season too high. Coming over to the number of episodes; I expect the next season to have just 10 episodes. J.C Studio doesn’t have enough time as it is, so doing more than ten episodes is just not possible for them.
The good thing is the plot for One Punch Man Season 2 looks to be terrific. Garou will be the focus of the next season and having read the manga; I can tell you that the plot for the upcoming season is definitely going to be better than the first one. So there’s a positive in all of this for you guys as well.
