You might have to wait a little further for the most anticipated One Piece game of the year. One Piece: World Seeker, which was supposed to come out this year, was delayed for some technical reasons. However, it was revealed that the game would feature two original characters that are not in the anime or the manga.
One Piece: World Seeker Delayed
Bandai Namco announced recently that the game One Piece: World Seeker, which was originally set to release this year, will be moved to a later date. This highly anticipated game is not expected to be ready until 2019. There is still no specific date confirmed. However, it is expected that we will get more information about the game as we near the end of the year.
According to Destructoid, the reason for this delay is for the developers to “further polish the game ahead of its launch.” This might mean that the developers might want to add more features or to make the movements better. There’s a lot of characters confirmed playable, and the team might want to polish each and every character that this game had to offer.
Original Characters Made For The Game
As for the characters, two new additions are specially made just for this game. It was announced recently through Weekly Shonen Jump magazine that two original characters will be joining the game. One is Isaac, who is the secret leader of the Jail Island. He led the activity that makes the island “abnormal.” He is also a former marine and is quite formidable.
The other character is a girl called Jeanne who is the leader of the Anti-Marine Party. She and her comrades are not fond of the Marines because of what the Marines did to their island. Because of this, she will do anything to stand up against them.
So far, there are 24 characters revealed for One Piece: World Seeker. The list includes Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, Sabo, Rob Lucci, Smoker, Tashigi, Ichiji, Niji, Yonji, Sakazuki, Kizaru, Kuzan, Fujitora, Crocodile, Kuma, Isaac, and Jeanne.
