Nine Perfect Strangers is an upcoming streaming TV drama miniseries. The show is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. Created by David E. Kelley and John-Henry Butterworth, Nine Perfect Strangers released its first teaser during the 2021 Oscars Ceremony telecast. And surprisingly, like Big Little Lies, the show sees the producers return again to recreate another one of Liane Moriarity’s books. This show was announced back in 2019, which was only delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions. So, after the star-studded shooing took place in Australia, we finally have some visuals for it. Now that the teaser is out let’s when what is the release date for Nine Perfect Strangers.
The teaser in itself was a 30-seconds clip that prominently showed the cult-driven Nicole Kidman preaching to her guests. In her role as Masha, the twisted resort director plans to mess with her nine guests. Along with this are glimpses of some unsettling footage, the answers to which can only be derived once more information is available. Another option would be to read the book. But of course, most of us would rather enjoy it in an eight-episode format soon to release this year on Hulu.
What will be the Plot for Nine Perfect Strangers?
Nine Perfect Strangers take place at the Tanquillum House. It is a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises its guest a 10-day retreat that will heal and transform them. The nine guests are city dwellers who have come to the resort in order to take on a new path and a better way of living. These guests are being watched over by the resort’s director, Masha. She is on a mission to rejuvenate the tired minds and bodies of the guests who have come to her healing. But, these nine guests who are on their course to become perfect have no idea what’s about to hit them.
From the trailer itself, it is pretty given that Masha gives off some eerie vibes. Her Russian accented English, along with her creepy healing methods, say more than enough for us to realize that she has something up her sleeves. She asks each of the nine guests to surrender themselves to her so that she could heal them. Each of the guests has their own reason to attend the resort. Nevertheless, they all will be the guinea pigs to Masha’s new age cures. In one of the scenes from the trailer, we can see Masha instructing her guests to dig their own graves and lie down in them. Other than this, we even witness Carmel looking terrified while Lars screams into the air. Lastly, we see the whole group sitting down for dinner as they stare at Masha questionably.
What is Nine Perfect Strangers Release Date?
Nine Perfect Strangers is set to be released somewhere between mid to end of 2021. The trailer was only released on 25th April 2021 during the 2021 Oscar telecast. Back on 10th December 2020, Hulu announced that Nine Perfect Strangers would premiere somewhere in 2021. So, considering that the trailer only dropped now, it would mean that the show will only release after a few months. If we look at the trailer itself, it says “Coming Soon,” meaning that there is still some work to be done, and the Production Team itself cannot confirm a set a date for the same. When it does release, it will be available to watch on Hulu.
