Sword Art Online has reached a success never before seen as an underdog anime breaching out ever since its successful and unique storyline since season 1. Following up with changes in season 2 and now with a brand new anime! It was announced at Dengeki Bunko Aki no Saiten 2017 (Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival 2017) that a brand new anime project titled, “Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online” the TV anime will be coming soon and is being worked on!
The Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival 2017 is an event held in Tokyo, Japan where people hold announcements or important matters in stage panel style. It seems now that the possibility of the Sword Art Alternative Gun Gale Online novel series will be adapted into its own anime.
The background synopsis for the novel is:
“The story follows Karen Kohiruimaki, a 183-centimeter-tall (6-foot-tall) college student who’s insecure her height, and is bad at dealing with people in the real world. She enters the world of Gun Gale Online with her avatar, Llenn, who is less than 150 centimeters (5 feet) tall and wears all pink. She meets a beautiful, brown-skinned female player who goes by Pitohui. They hit it off, but one day Pitohui pressures her to participate in “Squad Jam,” a team Battle Royale variation of the Bullet of Bullets tournament.”
The novel series started back in 2014 and has already released its sixth volume this past March. So not only is a game being made form the novel series (Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online Fatal Bullet), but now an anime series will follow the story.
