As we all remember Captain Tsubasa from our childhood days or at least mine. The manga of Captain Tsubasa which has been written by Yoichi Takahashi debuted back in 1981 and ended in 1988. The manga had been already adapted into the anime in the past and 2018 it was again adapted into a newer version.
The anime has already released 51 episodes, and the 52nd episode that will be released on 1st April 2019 will be the final one of the anime. This is of course bad news for the lovers of Captain Tsubasa anime. The latest anime was directed by Toshiyuki Kato and produced by David Production.
It has been licensed by Viz Media. In Japan network through which it is mainly televised is TV Tokyo and its English network is Primo TV. Now, let me discuss the synopsis of this story with you all:
The story is centered on a young kid named Tsubasa who is in love with football.
Tsubasa meets an accident while playing with a football and gets hit by a bus but fortunately his fall gets cushioned by the football he’s holding which saves him, and he falls even more deeply in love with the sport.
Then a coach named Roberto recognizes his potential to be the next big thing in the football world and takes him to Brazil. Tsubasa’s dream is to bring the World Cup trophy to Japan. The story of Captain Tsubasa leading his national team Japan to the World Cup glory is one of the most famous footballing story written in manga out there.
If you are a football fan and you haven’t watched the anime of Captain Tsubasa yet do watch it. The music of the current new anime has been provided by Hayato Matsuo, and the director of sound is Yoshikazu Iwanami. It is a real shame that the new anime is only 52 episodes long.
