Another good surprise for the fans of The Disastrous Life of K. is that this time around they’ll just not get any anime adaptation, but Netflix will be its producers and not only that it is going to be a Netflix Original production for this upcoming new project of theirs.
It was announced on the booth of Netflix at AnimeJapan 2019. The director of the anime is going to be none other than Hiroaki Sakurai, and also J. C. Staff will be a major part of the production as well. Funimation was the producer of the series prior to this. The first season aired in 2016 July and then the season two of the series was released in 2018 June.
Kusuo Saiki is the main character of the series, and thus the story revolves around him only. Kusuo is no ordinary person; he is born with some psychic powers.
His psychic powers include telepathy, psychokinesis, teleportation, etc. Even though these powers make him a powerful being it the other aspect of life he is weak at, that being socializing.
Kusuo Saiki has a hard time around people and thus tries everything in his power to avoid any sort of attention possible. The story is about how Kusuo Saiki tries to live a normal life using his powerful abilities and along with classmates who are pretty ordinary. This struggle of Kusuo Saiki trying to live a normal life is pretty amazing to witness.
This manga was launched by Aso in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012 and has already ended back in 2018. So, what do you guys think about the story? Is it worth the watch or is it just an ordinary storyline. I do think the story seems interesting enough to give the anime a shot. Do tell us what your thoughts are about this series and Netflix taking over it.
