NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 13

It looks like Sam will take up an old identity on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 13 to get his hands on a culprit. Whereas, the previous episode gave us a look at the Navy coming close to an attack from an unmanned aerial vehicle that entered the US airspace without even being detected on the Navy ship’s radar. Moreover, things got dangerous for the F-35 fighter jet that tried to confront the UAV.

On the other hand, Kilbride asked the team to look into the incident before the media makes a fuss out of it. Meanwhile, Sam and Callen got a visit from the pilot who was flying the F-35 jet and had a confrontation with the UAVs. Deeks on the other side was trying to set up the house to make it friendly for the inspection before the adoption. Whereas, the investigation took a suspicious turn as the team moved ahead.

The ongoing American television show is the second installment in the NCIS franchise that first kicked off in 2003. However, this spin-off itself started in 2009 and has been quite popular since. With the ongoing thirteenth season, the fans are now waiting to watch NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 13. But first, let us find out what all happened in the previous episode.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 12 Recap

Episode 12 of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 came out on 20th March 2022 and was titled “Murmuration”. The episode saw a Navy fighter plane going up against an unidentified aircraft near a US Navy vessel. But things got worse for the pilot as his plane was hit directly and he had to eject. The next day, he went to see Sam and Callen personally to talk to them about what had happened. According to him, it was something he hadn’t seen before as it looked like one aircraft on his radar but then it dispersed into several drones and followed it.

Moreover one of them even hit his plane directly and he had to eject. But the Navy was trying to bury it saying that it was a mistake or technical error. Later on, Sam and Callen visited the Navy ship to get details on what happened and the XO of the ship told them that the incident was a combination of technical error and inexperience. However, Sam and Callen weren’t convinced since they knew that the pilot was at the top of his class when it came to flying. Eventually, the officer who had a close look at the operation during the incident told Callen and Sam that it was nothing like ever before.

They couldn’t detect it which was quite strange. Meanwhile, her words also proved the theory about it being a UAV swarm which Agent Namazi initially suggested after her investigation. Therefore, Sam and Callen called in for the owner of the company that was responsible for making such type of advanced tech and questioned her about it. While Kensi and Deeks went to Santa Monica mountains to find the broken piece from the UAV that had landed there after colliding with the F-35. But it was gone by the time they reached there.

Although, a podcaster saw them and told them that those drones were sighted every day for quite a while now and are visible around sunset. So Rountree arrived there as well with some equipment that would help Namazi take control of those drones before it does any more damage. Moreover, she also figured out later on that the UAV swarm was completely autonomous, working on AI that has now gone rogue.

But Kilbride soon came in and asked her to stand down on the mission. Turns out, the manufacturer had sold it to the DoD, and then the Army Future Command had taken it to help them get more advanced. But the technology got way ahead and went rogue. Callen wasn’t convinced at all when they were asked to move away from the case and it went to another investigation force. It all didn’t feel right to him at all but there was hardly anything that he could do.
