NCIS Hawai’i Season 1 Episode 7 will see the team investigating a murder of a Navy officer. At the same time, they need to ensure the protection of their friends and colleagues. But can they trust everyone is the question? Well, the recent episode was quite an example of trusting someone. The team looked into a case where a couple was having fun at a festival. One of them is a weapons officer, while the other is a social media star. But were they really who they say they are is the question.
So here is what went down, the other half, the social media star, was abducted. The officer could only record her on the video. The team did manage to track down the car she was taken in but came across the body of the kidnapper. Looking at the Instagram and a video, the team found out that she, in fact, went with him willingly. What does this mean? What did the codes on Instagram tell? Let’s find out more about this case DIA wanted to strip away from NCIS.
NCIS Hawai’i S01 E06 Recap
Previously on NCIS Hawai’i Season 1, we opened up at a festival where Navy Lieutenant Adam Parish was shooting her girlfriend Kayla’s video. She is a social media. As he recorded, he saw someone abducting her right in front of his eyes amidst the crowd. All he had was a video that hardly showed the car. But a bar code on the car led the team to a location where they eventually found the kidnapper. But he was already dead with no sign of Kayla yet.
The man was identified as John Casings. The team broke down the possibilities of Kayla beating him down but no. Also, Kayla and Casings did have a contact on Instagram through secret code messages. A video went on to reveal that she went with Casings willingly. Now there is a chance she isn’t who she says she is. Analyzing her, Instagram told the team that she could be posing as a social media influencer. Things such as fake followers and international travels suggest an intelligence operation.
Just when NCIS had clarity on things, DIA Officer Whistler came in to call off the investigation. But Jane wasn’t really giving up anymore. She and her team continued to work secretly on the case. They came across a recently uploaded morse code on Instagram, which she used with her husband. Meaning she is planning to meet him. So they did catch her, but in the process of protecting Adam, someone attacked Kai. Thus resulting in him losing Adam.
Kayla went on to admit about working for the CIA and how she smuggled people out of the hostile territory. Now her last job saw her butting-heads with Russians, and now her husband was abducted. A call did come from her husband, and Kayla met him. The FBI surrounding them managed to get hands-on with the Russians. In the end, it was time for truth, and Kayla went on to confess to Adam.
