The Conjuring made a big impact in the world of horror movies or movies in general. With its release, the Conjuring started a franchise and a shared universe. This shared universe is being worked on by Warner Bros. which intends to expand the universe. So, the next installment in the franchise is The Nun. The Nun is based off the James Wan series, and it will follow the heinous demon which we saw in The Conjuring 2.
The script for the movie has been written by Gary Dauberman; this isn’t the first time that Dauberman is working on the scripts of a horror movie. He has written scripts for Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation. Gary was also involved in the IT. The movie is going to be directed by Corin Hardy.
The movie is set for release on September 7, 2018, which isn’t so far. It seems that Warner Bros. has put a lot of faith in the movie, and they hope that the movie can replicate the success of IT. Now moving to the cast of the series.
Here is the cast of the movie —
Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene.
Demián Bichir as Father Burke

The movie filmed in Bucharest, Romania. Here is the official synopsis for The Nun:
“When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.”
The Nun is a prequel to the Conjuring films, and it is set in the year 1952.
