The growth of the kpop industry has increased significantly in recent years due to worldwide popular groups such as BTS, EXO, BLACKPINK, TWICE, etc. However, many new fans may not know how old their beloved group might be. After all, the Korean music industry, which we call ‘Kpop,’ is divided into various generations. In fact, the Kwave (Hallyu Wave) fever began around the 90s. Therefore, old international kpop fans may know some of the 90s famous kpop groups such as S.E.S., Fin.K.L, Boby Vox, etc.

From 2012 to 2017 is known as third-generation, and from 2018 to the present is fourth-generation. You may know some of these old groups or maybe hear about them. Also, some groups from the third generation have already disbanded, such as EXID, GFriend, I.O.I, Lovelyz, Pristin, Hello Venus, and many more.
