The news emerged at the virtual DC Comics and Warner Bros. event platform DC FanDome segment of Milestone Comics. It was confirmed that Static gets a movie! One of the Milestone co-founders, Denys Cowan and Reggie Hudlin —in charge of production— dropped the bomb: Warner Bros. Animation will do a movie on Static. Static’s story
After being doused with an experimental chemical during a gang fight, high school student Virgil Ovid Hawkins acquires a range of electromagnetic abilities and transforms into a costumed crusader against crime. He is often overburdened by the dual duties of his heroic profession and normal adolescent issues, as do other teenaged heroes in the Spider-Man pattern. Virgil, a Dakota native, originally acquired his electromagnetic abilities during a massive battle between the city’s gangs when he intended to get vengeance on a gang member who had been harassing him.
The police come and use tear gas laced with what they think is a harmless radioactive tracer to ensure that any gang members are apprehended. The police are unaware that the marking has been further tainted with Quantum Juice, an experimental mutagen (Q-Juice). This event became known as the “Big Bang” when it occurred. Those that were exposed were dubbed “bang babies” since the Big Bang was the source of their metahuman birth.
Virgil dominates electromagnetic powers.
When the agency behind the experiment tries to apprehend him, he fights back, finding that he now has the power to create, manipulate, and control electromagnetic. Virgil adopts the moniker “Static” and, equipped with his wits and abilities, becomes a superhero. Virgil hides his secret from his family for the most part, but his friend, Frieda Goren, discovers his identity when he tries to rescue her from becoming a reward in a minor gang conflict.
Rick Stone and Larry Wade, two of Virgil’s pals, assist him. He expresses love interest in his confidante and friend Frieda Goren, but she is already engaged with Larry Wade. He dates Daisy Watkins, but his responsibilities as Static interfere with their dates too often, and Daisy ends their relationship. Virgil is in a relationship with Madison in Static Shock: Rebirth of the Cool, but Frieda ends up fighting with her for him. With this, we conclude our coverage of the next Static movie by DC and Warner here at Otakukart. Thank you for reading this article. And please keep coming back to our website for more daily updates.
