‘Melon Music Awards 2021’ will be held on December 4, 2021, at 6pm KST. Held online, Melon Music Awards 2020 featured the top idols gracing the stage with their performances. Along with studio and interaction sessions with the idols who couldn’t make it to the stage. The award party went on for four days, starting on December 3, 2021, and going on December 6, 2021. The main show began on the last day, with Simon Dominic performing his hits followed by IZ*ONE, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X, Oh My Girl, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Lim Young Woong, Young Tak. Ending the event with an energetic performance by BTS.

Who Won The Awards?
BTS won three awards, ‘Netizen’s Choice’, ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’ for their album “Map of the Soul: 7” and the song “Dynamite”. ‘New Artist of the Year’ were won by ‘CRAVITY’ and ‘Weekly’. Monsta X ended up winning the ‘Best Performance’ category. “To Die For” by Sam Smith won the Best Pop. Best Dance was given to “Dynamite” by BTS and “How You Like That” by BLACKPINK. Im Young Woong became the winner of the ‘Best Trot’ category. Son Sung Deuk (Big Hit Entertainment) was named as the ‘Best Performance Director’. While Young Tak won the ‘Best Songwriter’.
