So yes, Marvel Studios recently dropped the first look for Phase 4 of their cinematic universe. Things are quite promising for the fans, for sure. The one that caught the eye the most is probably the new faction Eternals. We have trailers for the first two movies mentioned. But this first look teaser gave us the very first glimpse and dive into what we are in for Eternals. What Is “Marvel’s Eternals” About?
Marvel’s Eternals will be the 26th film to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chloé Zhao serves as the director for the film with a huge ensemble cast. These include big names such as Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Kit Harington, Gemma Chan, and Barry Keoghan.
The story of Marvel’s Eternals will tell us the impact of the war with Thanos. Everything the planet earth suffered. This in turn brings back an immortal race called the Eternals together. They have been living on the earth for thousands of years, created by the celestials called Sentinels. The war with Thanos has alerted them to come together. Plus their evil counterparts, the Deviants are looking to infiltrate the earth and now it’s up to them to take the necessary action intended.
Indeed, the Eternals will be much like The Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy. But in their own right and area of expertise. They are superpowered cosmic beings who can go head-on with strong creatures from space. The cast and of Marvel’s Eternals is led by Angelina Jolie. She is portraying the role of fierce warrior Thena. She comes with the ability to create weapons out of cosmic energy in thin air. Joining Jolie is HBO’s Game Of Thrones Richard Madden. Here he is portraying the role of Ikaris. The leader of Eternals aided with super-strength, flight, and cosmic beams. Kumail Nanjiani joins the film as Kingo who can create cosmic energy projectiles from his hands. Lauren Ridloff joins in as the super-speed aided Makkari. Also, she is the first deaf superhero to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Brian Tyree Henry joins the film as Phastos. An intelligent cosmic-powered Eternal known to advance the technologies. He is also the first gay superhero of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Salma Hayek joins the film as Ajak. Her abilities include healing and have helped the human civilization advance for years. Lia McHugh joins in as the 12-year-old Sprite with abilities to create life-like illusions. Don Lee joins in as Gilgamesh. An Eternal with the ability to project exoskeletons. Kit Harrington joins in as the human with a mystical sword named Dane Whitman. Gemma Chen joins in as Sersi aided with abilities to manipulate matter. Finally, Barry Keoghan joins in as aloof Druig, aided with the ability to control other’s minds.
Marvel’s Eternals Release Date
Marvel’s Eternals is releasing on November 5, 2021. The project was announced in 2018. The writers Kaz and Ryan Firpo aided director Chloe Zhao. The filming for the Eternals began way back in July 2019 at Pinewood Studios until February of 2020. The film has been shot in various locations including London and Oxford, England, and the Canary Islands. Originally scheduled to release on February 12, 2021, Eternals, along with many other MCU projects of Phase Four got a push further due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
