Plot
Love In The Sun’s storyline revolves around a dating app creator named Alana, who finds her views on love challenged when she returns home and reconnects with her high school sweetheart. The movie has all the ingredients of a Hallmark movie, the boy proposes to the girl, and she says yes. The girl goes back to her hometown, meets her ex-boyfriend, and falls back in love with him. After that girl’s current fiancé cause complication or conflict, which makes the story a bit more interesting, but the conflict gets resolved, and everyone lives happily ever after. The movie did not receive positive reviews from critics or viewers, and everyone who watched the movie agreed that other than the gorgeous backdrop, it is, in general, a bad movie.
With that said, the movie does give you exactly what you would expect. Sure, some Hallmark movies are better than others. However, they all have the same general idea and storyline. It is meant to be an entertaining movie that you would watch with your family on a comfy movie night in, and the movie delivers just that. It is a calming and wholesome film which should be watched on a quiet and relaxing night in. Emeraude Toubia especially is a delight to watch, although her acting abilities were not used to her full potential. Nevertheless, she comes across as the beautiful, graceful, and most of all, kind person her character is meant to be. In our opinion, the movie is good enough for a satisfying one-time watch.

Where Is ‘Love In The Sun’ Filmed?
The movie is set in Florida, where Alana’s hometown is situated and where she returns after getting engaged. The filming of several scenes of Love In The Sun took place at Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburgh. St. Petersburgh is located in Pinellas County and is also well known as Florida’s sunshine city. Emeraude Toubia shared a picture from the beach on her social media page, with the caption “Paradise on set”. And the place is indeed a paradise. The cast and crew of the film traveled to Florida to shoot the movie, which was originally supposed to film in Hawaii. Now, no disrespect to Florida, but purely from a viewer’s point of view who will watch any TV show or movie which is filmed in Hawaii, it’s got nothing on ‘The Aloha State’.
However, after watching Love In The Sun, we now know that Florida is gorgeous too. It is home to the Miami metropolitan area and is the third most populous state in the US. Some of the things that matched the tax benefits to some extent were the atmosphere benefit and the infrastructure along with the workforce. This is why Florida was picked as the filming location by the location guides. Safety Harbor, which is located in the Pinellas County, just a twenty to thirty minutes drive away from St. Petersburgh, doubled as a filming location for a few scenes of the movie. Treasure Land, at the famous Sunset Beach, in Pinellas County, was also a location for shooting some of the scenes in the film. This particular beach is famously known for embracing the LGTBQI+ community.
