Lost Episode 3: Release Date and Preview

Lost Episode 3 is the latest episode in this K-Drama from JTBC that has taken up the same spot that was initially occupied by Nevertheless. The main cast of Lost includes Jeon Do Yeon, Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Byung Eun, and Kim Hyo Jin in the lead roles. The drama has an expansive ensemble cast that consists of several veteran actors.

The main plot of Lost revolves around the life of a 40-year-old ghostwriter going through a massive mid-life crisis where she has an exceeding sense of being a failure and a nobody in today’s world. The other leading character that the story focuses on is that of Gangjae. He is a 27-year-old man who lost his father very early in life. Gangjae runs an escort service and makes quite a lot of money. However, the reason he can relate so well to Bujeong is that he too has a prevailing sense of being a failure. Both of them are discontent with where they are in their lives. Moreover, they want to lead better lives but have no sense of aim or direction about where to go from here. It will be interesting to see how their paths are intertwined with each other.

In Lost Episode 2, we saw Gangjae and Bujeong cross paths with each other yet again. There is no major turn of events here, except we find the actual cause behind all of Bujeong’s misery. It turns out that Jung A-Ran has sued Bujeong for all her comments online. The fact that Bujeong is completely devastated because of A-ran means nothing to the latter. Bujeong even visits A-ran at her book signing event but she does not entertain her in the least. Bujeong makes several attempts at talking to A-ran before taking matters into her own hands but to no avail.

On the other hand, Min Ja takes out the scrambled pieces of Bujeong’s summon to the police station. The only missing piece of paper that she seems unable to find is the one that consisted of the accuser’s name. Min Ja meets Bujeong’s father and tells him everything. Her father, Chang Sook is appalled to hear about everything that is going on in his daughter’s life. Min Ja even brings up the issue where Bujeong had taken psychological help the previous year. Chang Sook defends his daughter by saying that it was because of her miscarriage and not because she was crazy. Min Ja, after all, tries to insinuate the fact that Bujeong is not of stable mental health. The episode ends with Min Ja visiting Soon Kyu’s pharmacy.

The Complicated Relationships in Lost

Bujeong wakes up the next morning and fights with Jeong Soo. The latter implied that Bujeong made too big a deal regarding what his mother did the last night going through her letters. Jeong Soo even said that she should apologize for her behavior, thereby, infuriating Bujeong even further. He could not tell her about his college reunion at all.

Later, Bujeong’s father tells her that he tried to look up all his possible contacts in the police force. But, to their dismay, most people were dead. Chang Sook apologized to Bujeong for his poor financial condition thereby causing his inability to pull Bujeong out of this mess. Bujeong constantly asks how Chang Sook found out about the summon but the latter never discloses Min Ja’s name. This leads Bujeong to believe that Jeong Soo must have told him.

Jang A-Ran calls Bujeong and asks her to delete all her comments on the social media platforms. Bujeong is appalled at how insensitive she sounds. Bujeong tells Jang A-Ran that she will disclose every piece of dirt that she has on her and ruin her career for being so cruel. Jang A-Ran incessantly calls Bujeong back but the latter has left her phone to go to the terrace. It turns out that Gang Jae lives in the same building as Chang Sook. He follows Bujeong to the terrace and talks to her.

On the other hand, Jeong Soo meets the girl he was supposed to marry back in college during the reunion. The two of them have quite a conversation where Kyung Eun reveals that her husband is dying.
