What Happened in Episode 1 of Line of Duty Season 6?
In the first episode of Line of Duty Season 6, we saw that Flemming changed her team and switched to the team of DCI Joanne Davidson (it might be possible that Flemming was only pretending to be in her team as the last scene of the episode suggested that she was working as an undercover officer and still in the group of AC).
Joe is the Senior Investigating Officer, involved in solving the murder case of Geil Vella, who was a journalist. Steve was considering leaving the AC team after getting in touch with Di Nivola Rogerson, who was making her team in the Major Violence Crime Department.
This murder case was important as the journalist had discovered something important. They got information from CHIS (Covered Information Intelligence Source) and the address of the person. Joe called the team to arrest the criminal but the Senior Superindentent officer Buckle said them to rather go in the morning because the informant might not be reliant.
In the morning, Hasting and Flemming reached Beechwood’s house. A surveillance team was present already waiting for them to arrive. They believed that the suspect was in the apartment but they did not manage to get into the house. In front of a bookmaker shop, Joe noticed a van. She diverted her team as this could have created a mess in public. However, a robber got killed.
Terry Boyle Got Arrested
Joe backed up and discontinued the primary mission. This situation made Joe’s team doubt her as they did not understand how Joe got to see the van. This was not only the case, the surveillance team had to manage all the paperwork and equipment because of Buckle’s fault as he handled the paperwork badly.
The van that Joe had seen consisted of rookie kids. They did not have any experience in the robbery. Joe delays the mission after seeing the robbery. They reached the apartment and found Terry Boyle in the apartment. They there arrested him. He had down syndrome and helped the crime group in previous seasons. From all this, it was clear that someone was benefitting from Terry Boyle. The show took an interesting turn when AC -12’s got to know about the previous relationship between Davidson and PS Farida Jatri.
The team got some fingerprints from Turner’s Flat and Boyle’s home. The fingerprints were of Boyle and Carl Banks (a criminal). At last, they found the dead body of a CHIS officer. The first episode of Line of Duty Season 6 ended with Hashting ordering Steve to investigate Davidson.
Who was the Fourth “H” in Line of Duty?
The search for the fourth “H” came to an end when detective superintendent Ian Buckell was finally revealed as the fourth H. He was the fourth person in the police group who was working with the OCG (Organised Crime Group).
