An American action-adventure TV game show “Legends of the Hidden Temple” is going to make its reappearance soon on the screens again. The original show aired between 1993 to 1995 on the cartoon channel Nickelodeon. The program was created by David G. Stanley, Scott A. Stone, and Stephan Brown. The show was hosted by Kirk Fogg and the post of both announcer and voice actor for a stone head named Olmec was given to Dee Bradley Baker.
The original show’s season one was directed by Charles Ciup and the direction was handed to Glenn Weiss for seasons two and three. With a total 120 number of episodes and three seasons, the show was produced by Stone Stanley Productions in association with Nickelodeon Studios. The running time of each episode was 22 to 24 minutes. Of course, the show was loved by everyone especially the game enthusiastic, and now its reboot has created a huge buzz everywhere.

Legends of the Hidden Temple (2021) is going to hit the screens on 10 October at 8 pm ET/PT. The airing of the show is shifted from cable to network television on The CW. The original network release of the show was on 11 September 1993 and the final airing was on 24 December 1995. Every next episode of the show aired on weekends at 6:30 pm. With the rising success of the show, the timing of the show was changed to 5:30 pm from 14 February 1994.
The second season of the show was released on June 6 of the same year and the final season with 40 episodes aired on 17 February and ended on 12 March 1995. There were also talks about renewing the show for its fourth season as reported by Orlando Business Journal in 1996. But as per Nickelodeon’s then vice president of production services Scott Fishman denied the rumors and stated that the renewal is not something that is happening any soon. The reason for the same was stated as the launch of three new game shows.
The announcement about the reboot was made on 16 December 2019. It was also said that the game show is aimed at the adult audience; and will air on April 2020 on Quibi. Though, things went wrong at some places and the production went silent on 1 December Quibi was shut down. The announcement about the revival of the series was announced on 11 May 2021 by The CW.
For the production of the show, Stone is again in the position of executive producer; and it seems like Marcus Fox will be joining them soon.

As mentioned above the show was originally hosted by Kirk Fogg. But that has changed in the reboot version of the TV game show. This time the show is going to be hosted by Cars 3 star and comedian Cristela Alonzo.
The show’s real protagonist named Olmec is going to get the voiceover from Star Wars animated series voice actor Dee Bradley Baker. He played the same role in the originals series too and was loved by the audience. Hopefully, the same will happen here too.
