tvN’s Kill Heel has started with full force and some of our ladies are already crumbling under the pressure. From Woo Hyun’s constant panic attacks because of her low performance in the workplace and family members who barely respect her, to Bae Ok Sun’s warm smile accompanied by empty eyes when sitting with her picture-perfect family. It seems like they need the UNI Home Shopping Vice President Ki Mo Ran to shake things up in their lives, for better or for worse. Hence, Kdramaholics are anticipating the release of ‘Kill Heel’ Episode 3.
Along with the circumstances of our main characters, we also get a glimpse of how the home shopping television units work behind the scenes. The intense competition and the desire to one-up each other can be seen from the back-and-forth war of words between show-hosts Ko Eun Nara (who previously belonged to the Food section of home-shopping hosting, but later in Episode 2 shifts to Fashion) and Woo Hyun who indirectly reprimand each other for attempting to find better employment positions in rivaling companies like GAON Homeshopping. We also become aware of an anonymous online bulletin board where employees of the company gossip about every other employee and higher-ups in UNI Homeshopping.
The reception for the ‘Kill Heel’ pilot episode has been quite great: it received a viewership rating of 4.2% which is a good rating for a show airing on tvN which is a paid-television network. ‘Kill Heel’ has an intriguing storyline along with K-dramaesque plot-points (car accidents, multiple slap scenes, and forbidden remembrances of the past,) which scratch the itch for entertainment perfectly. Of course, K-drama viewers all over the world are busy catching up to the Kill Heel episodes released yet, since Kill Heel episode 3 is going to release pretty soon!
Kill Heel Episode 3 Release Date
Kill Heel Episode 3 will release on 16th March 2022 at 10:30 PM KST. For other time-zones it is 7 PM IST, 11:30 PM AEST, and 8:30 AM EST.
In the preview for Kill Heel Episode 3, we hear Woo Hyun asking how she should interpret the happenings of the dinner she had with Ki Mo Ran and the CEO, and Ki Mo Ran replies that as a woman Woo Hyun must’ve understood the meaning of the gaze the CEO had towards her. “From now on, this is your new lifeline, and I’m the one with the keys to your lifeline”, we hear Ki Mo Ran say, as we watch Woo Hyun let her silk-robe down in an expensive hotel with someone who is not her husband. Meanwhile, in another scene we see Bae Ok Sun tell Ki Mo Ran that her husband is having an extramarital affair, and asks her what Mo Ran would do if she were in her shoes.
The next scene cuts to CEO Lee Hyun Wook being interrupted in a hotel room by a ringing doorbell – the door opens to reveal a displeased Seo Joon Bum, who is a UNI PD who works with Woo Hyun. Woo Hyun also tells her husband that she is letting him go, implying a divorce. Lastly, we see Woo Hyun’s new avatar in a shorter hair-do, looking brighter and happier post-broadcast as PD Seo Joon Bum informs that she has hit the sales target!

‘Kill Heel’ Episode 1 & 2 Recap: The Unhappy Circumstances of Woo Hyun & Bae Ok Sun
As one of the show hosts of UNI in the Fashion section, Woo Hyun is barely bringing in the sales numbers needed to get promoted; it has been implied that she was one of the best selling hosts in the past but presently, her situation has worsened to the point that she is forced to sell toilet-paper on broadcast. She is almost the sole breadwinner of her family, and it is evident that she is willing to suffer through anything for the better future of her daughter Ji Yoon. Meanwhile her husband has been forced to resign from his job and currently works part-time because he invested in his brother’s shady business that fell through. We see Woo Hyun’s mother-in-law begging her to invest in her brother-in-law’s business again, but when Woo Hyun calls her shameless for previously making them shell out their daughter’s tuition money for the same thing, the mother-in-law furiously slaps Woo Hyun across the face.
Meanwhile, Bae Ok Sun is another home shopping host in UNI, who is from a well-to-do family. She is currently doing well at her job. Ok Sun is well-liked and is evidently sympathetic towards Woo Hyun. Her father-in-law wants her to leave her job to help out with his son’s political prospects. Her mother-in-law and husband (who is currently campaigning for elections) however don’t share the same feelings, at least up front, the latter even saying Ok Sun being so good at her job helps him with his public image. Bae Ok Sun also has a son whom she dotes upon, and even though she may seem in love with her husband, the viewers can sense something is making her uneasy inside.
