Upcoming Kpop girl group, Kep1er, delayed their upcoming debut after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. However, Wake One and Swing Entertainment have now shared the release date for Kep1er’s debut album. The news was shared on the group’s fan cafe, which was later filled with hundreds of comments. Fans can finally design a new schedule to cheer on kep1er’s debut. The news came immediately after the agency informed about Kep1er’s debut postponement.
Kep1er, who were earlier making their debut on December 14, 2021, will take some more time to amaze fans with their first-ever performance. After a crew member tested positive, the agency put a halt to all the upcoming activities earlier scheduled for the Kpop act.
All nine members have been tested and are asymptomatic. As per the previous statement shared by the company, the group will follow the safety guidelines before they rock their debut stage.
Kep1er Debut Album ‘First Impact’ Release Date
Kep1er will release their first-ever album, First Impact, on January 3, 2022, at 6 PM KST. As per the latest word shared by Wake One and Swing Entertainment, the girls will drop their album next year. Until then, they will cease all their promotional activities and fan events. This also includes their MAMA 2021 lineup.
Kep1er was scheduled to perform at MAMA 2021 ahead of their debut on December 14. The agencies announced the same on Twitter. They wrote that they have decided to cancel the performance to prevent any possibility of transmission of the virus.
All the members and crew members tested negative and are currently not associated with other acts. It looks like Kep1er will be a 2022 group.
The nine-member Kpop girl group is formed through the Mnet’s survival program, Girls Planet 999. The bilingual group consists of South Korea, Japan, and China members. The reality Tv show aired in October, and after stern judgment and a nerve-wracking competition, Kep1er was formed.
