After the box office success of Jumanji: The Next Level, Jumanji 4 is in the works. The Jumanji franchise grew out of the popular 1995 Robin Williams film. Jack Black, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan star as four teens who are physical video game avatars. They are forced to enter the world of an enchanted game as a result of their own curiosity when they try it out during school detention.
Because of their shared adventures, the teenagers grow to understand one another despite their differences. They are dragged back into a higher-stakes struggle with the game’s main villain, Jurgen the Brutal, in the sequel Jumanji: The Next Level. This time, they’ll be joined by Edward “Eddie” Gilpin and Milo Walker, who are also cantankerous. The events of The Next Level’s conclusion left the door wide open for a brand new adventure, and today fans will finally get to see it unfold. ‘Jumanji 4: Final Level’ Release Date
In April 2020, Jumanji 4 was still in the early phases of development, implying that the film would take at least a couple of years to complete. While the film’s producers had floated a few storyline ideas, it took around two years for ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ to go from the writing stage to the final production stage. As a result, we’re unlikely to see a fourth Jumanji feature until 2024 at the earliest, assuming pre-production and post-production go smoothly and the Covid-19 epidemic doesn’t create any further delays.
The availability of the film’s stars will also play a role. For example, Dwayne Johnson is currently busy with ‘Black Adam,’ which began shooting in April. He’ll also most likely participate in the second season of ‘Young Rock,’ an NBC sitcom in which he plays himself and is based on his life. The production timetable for a fourth Jumanji movie would almost certainly have to factor in any other projects the film’s stars are working on.
Who Will Be Returning For ‘Jumanji 4’?
We’d be surprised if Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black don’t return as their in-game Jumanji personas. We don’t think they’ll have any trouble persuading the original cast members to return. Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Ser’Darius Blain, and Morgan Turner will play the unlucky players, and Danny DeVito may return as Spencer’s (Wolff) grandfather Eddie.
Danny Glover may return as Eddie’s pal Milo, but he opts to stay in the game as Cyclone, the flying horse at the end of The Next Level. Nick Jonas and Awkwafina, who played Jefferson McDonough and Ming Fleetfoot, respectively, along with Colin Hanks, who played Alex Vreeke, are also expected to return.

What Will Happen In ‘Jumanji 4’?
So, returning to The Next Level’s ending, the sequel concludes with the Jumanji gaming world entering the real world, much as it did in the original 1995 film. That means a sequel will very certainly have Spencer and his friends attempting to solve the problem, with the solution most likely involving them returning to the Jumanji game world to allow Dr. Smolder Bravestone and the others to return.
Perhaps a sequel could also bring Dr. Smoulder, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin, and Professor Shelly Oberon from the Jumanji game into the real world, along with all of those stampeding animals? In any case, this is all speculation for now because Kasdan stated at the time of The Next Level’s release in December 2019 that he hadn’t considered a sequel while writing the finale.
Hiram Garcia, one of the co-producers, claimed in an interview that work on a plot for ‘Jumanji 4’ is progressing, but the plotline is still a mystery as of press time. He stated that there are numerous ongoing discussions and that they are in the process of bringing them forward. He also stated that he could not reveal anything, but they do have great plans for Jumanji 4, which is one of their favorite projects to work on and is now in the works.
