Jujutsu Kaisen anime has just ended, and with the season finale, the anime also announced the Jujutsu Kaisen movie that will be following soon. Jujutsu Kaisen made its debut in fall 2020 and has just concluded its first season. The anime introduced an interesting story, and ever since the first episode; we have been following Itadori’s story. The season finale went up with a bang as we finally saw the first years reach a brand new level.
Meanwhile, Sukuna remained to mind his own business, and its thanks to Itadori’s growth, he has been asleep all this time. But now, with the announcement of the Jujutsu Kaisen movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, this time, the anime will take a look at what happened before the beginning of the manga. The movie will be the adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen manga’s prequel that follows the story of Yuta, a new character, into the franchise.
The news was announced towards the end of the season’s finale, and studio MAPPA will be producing the movie. We will also get backstories of characters like Satoru Gojo, which most fans will probably look forward to. We also know that Panda was created by Yaga during his with Mechamaru. So we will also get to see his back story in the movies as well.
So far, there aren’t any updates about the future of the anime as Jujutsu Kaisen has just ended. So the next project that we are looking forward to is the upcoming movie as we wait for possible updates of what will be next in the anime. Unlike the anime, the movie focuses on Yuta’s life and his friend, who has turned into a curse and constantly nags him. This even caught the attention of Satoru Gojo and ended up persuading Yuta to join Jujutsu high tech.

Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0 Release Date
Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0 will be released in Winter 2022. This means that somewhere between January and March 2022. So there is still some time before the movie can premiere. The last season of the anime just ended and streamed on Crunchyroll, but the movie’s streaming details are not yet out.
The anime has shown us how much the first year managed to grow in a short space of time. And we have also managed to see them forge their relationship from nothing. Although they did not flinch when they heard that Itadori was dead, it turned out they were just as worried. But with the movie coming, it will be mostly about the previous generation of the Jujutsu tech high.
Just like many anime movies, it probably won’t transition into the anime’s story. Anime movies appear to be moving so fast compared to the week-by-week episodes. But since this is a prequel, it serves the right purpose as it will be short and direct. So it will be a good piece to watch if you need to really understand the Jujutsu world and what had happened before the show started.
Most importantly will be the part about Satoru Gojo’s past. Currently, he seems unrivaled, and one could just wonder how he managed to become how he is today. But since the prequel starts while he has already joined Jujutsu sorcerers, then we might not be looking that far in his life’s past.
There is also Panda’s part, so the movie won’t entirely focus on his past only. The synopsis mostly focused on Yuta’s life, so that will be the main plot of the movie. As usual, Satoru Gojo will recruit him, and Yuta seems to have a big personal problem that he could solve should he join the Jujutsu Sorcerers.
