However, the manga will be taking a short break next week as Shonen Jump announces a Jujutsu Kaisen hiatus. Given how much the franchise has achieved, a break does seem like the need of the hour. Akutami has been releasing consecutive chapters day after day without fail so far. It is only normal for the mangaka to stop for a while to continue writing us a flawless story.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen has been popular since before the anime adaptation even came to existence. Despite being unhealthy, the mangaka continued to produce new chapters. The manga industry is constantly under pressure, especially when the chapters are to be produced weekly. Manga writers are often pushed beyond their exhaustion limits. This has led to the rise of several voices as the mental and physical health of popular writers started to hamper. Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Hiatus Announced
As per the most recent update from Shonen Jump, Jujutsu Kaisen manga will be on hiatus next week. Akutami has finished the next chapter, so chapter 174 will be released as per schedule in Shonen Jump issue #10. However, the manga will be on break in issue #11, scheduled to be released on 13 February 2022. The manga will resume back to its schedule in the following issue #12. Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 175 will be released on 20 February 2022 on all licensing platforms.

No reason for the manga’s one-week break has been announced. However, fans are assuming that this break could be in preparation for the big Jujutsu Kaisen anime announcement to be made on 12 February 2022. The mangaka took another hiatus back in 2021 due to his deteriorating health. So we hope that Gege Akutami takes a lot of rest during this break and returns to us in full health.
