Jiren and Toppo’s Relationship, Why Jiren Follows Toppo? Explained

Hey guys. I’m back with another post about Dragon Ball Super and this time I’ll be solely concentrating on two fighters from Universe 11. This post contains spoilers from Dragon Ball Super, so please read ahead at your own risk. Now that I have made myself clear let’s move forward. The two characters which are the focus of this conversation areโ€” Jiren and Toppo. Both of them are the from Universe i.e, Universe 11.

Jiren and Toppo’s relationship is quite unique. Actually, if you have observed the two of them carefully, you would know that this pair is quite similar to a certain pair from Universe 7. That’s right, I’m talking about Gohan and Piccolo. Jiren and Toppo’s relationship is the same as Gohan and Piccolo’s. Well, not entirely the same but similar enough. There is but one difference and that is, Jiren was the bad egg.

Let me explain it like this. Jiren was a young rogue who had shown signs of overwhelming power when he just a kid.

Just like most powerful kids, he was considered an outcast, an alien. Honestly, anyone would’ve freaked out if they see a kid doing all weird stuff. It must have been at this time Toppo came along and took in Jiren. Although first hesitant to go with Toppo, he was finally convinced by Toppo. Toppo as Jiren’s teacher trained him and he became the person he is now.

Toppo helped him become the strongest hero in Universe 11. His name is known throughout the universes and why wouldn’t it be! He had reached the level of the Gods of Destruction. Jiren has considered Toppo to be his teacher and obeys his orders. Toppo also acknowledges that Jiren can take of difficult situations by himself and thus refrains from interfering in his battles.
That’s it from me. I hope you enjoyed the post. Please leave your comments below.

Jiren’s Real Nature Just Got Revealed In DBS Manga

Jiren has probably been one of the biggest mysteries in the Dragon Ball Super series for the past few months. We didn’t really know anything about him. But thanks to the Dragon Ball Manga, we found a lot of interesting stuff about the Pride Trooper from Universe 11.

It is safe to say that Jiren is going to be a big part of Dragon Ball Super even after the Tournament of Power arc, which is something I think is inevitable. Jiren has been portrayed as a completely different character in the manga, as opposed to the anime. From the anime, we know him as someone who doesn’t speak much. He looks to be too proud and too into himself. The website for Toei itself mentioned him to be too proud of his power, which makes him cocky.

It was also evident from his fight with Goku. He was acting too cocky, and he even went to meditate because he thought nobody was worth his time anymore. But, surprise! In the manga, he’s a completely different character altogether. Jiren is extremely polite in the manga. Not only that, he at least talks to Toppo and Dyspo, which I don’t think happened a lot in the anime.

The biggest thing we got to know about him is that Jiren protects and fights for peace in Universe 11. We already knew that he is a member of Pride Troopers that fight for peace. But in the manga, it is clear that Jiren cares for every single person in Universe 11.

He doesn’t even kill anyone. Not even his enemies! That’s right. Even if there is someone who causes destruction and creates havoc, Jiren will not kill him. That’s the kind of person he is. I think we are in for a lot of new information about Jiren in the manga.
