The main plot of Season 1 of ‘I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level’.

Azusa Aizawa’s life was very unfortunate. Her entire world revolved around her office and her work, which automatically made it exceptionally boring. One day, when she distressed herself to an extreme, she passed away because of overworking. She lost her life at the mere age of 27. So, when she was given the opportunity to be rebirthed into a new, fantasy world as a 17-year-old immortal witch, she decides to live her life in harmony and in peace. The village in which she was reincarnated accommodated a number of slimes. She decided to earn some money by killing slimes and turning them into magical stones. She would then go to the merchants of the village and sell those magical stones in exchange for money. As she was blessed with eternal life, she did this job for about three hundred years. She would also, regularly, help out the villagers if they were facing any hardship.

One day, she decided to go visit the village’s guild, where it was disclosed to her that she had become an immensely powerful, level 99 witch. This was probably due to her everyday routine of killing slimes. Everybody started to refer to her as the ‘Witch of the Highlands’ as she became one of the most powerful beings in the world. Being a powerful witch meant having people against her and having people for her. But, none of this astounded her, as the lovely people she met over there had her back. Laika, Halkara, Beelzebub, Fratorte, Falfa and Shalfa were all like family to her. Not to forget, they were also immortal and blessed with a lot of powers. The main plot of ‘I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level’ tells the viewers the thrilling tale of all the adventures that Azusa and her family experience together in the magical world.

‘I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level’ Season 1 Episode 1 – Review.

‘I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level’ features a young adult protagonist who passes away due to stressfully overworking and is reincarnated in a fantasy world. Azusa gradually builds her strength over the course of time without realizing it, and so, she unknowingly becomes one of the most powerful beings in the magical world. She then starts to include a group of girls into a family around her while attempting to lead a normal and happy life.

Azusa’s true power level being obvious does have some repercussions, most notably foes showing up on her doorstep. Almost all of her foes get defeated by her and become friends with Azusa. Hence, they join her team. The plot also has a philosophical outlook to it as it is often noticed how Azusa thinks about her previous life when she was an office worker. She cautiously makes life decisions in her current life and wishes that the people working at her office do not overwork themselves the way that she did. The series indirectly sends a message to the viewers about taking care of their mental health and not putting too much work pressure on themselves.

The ‘I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level’ manga comic on which the Anime series is based does not have a very broad plot, and so the fans are not quite sure how the show will end. Even so, they are excited to see what the producers and creators of ‘I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level’ have in store for them! It is safe to say that the first episode of this Anime series was very well received and enjoyed by the audience.
