Is Red Dead Redemption 2 Coming To PC?

Red Dead Redemption 2 or RDR2 is going to be 2018’s best. It is just released and has won rave reviews. RDR2 is published by Rockstar Games. The platforms that support RDR2 are PlayStation, Xbox One. The game is a western action adventure game, and if you are a rodeo fan, you are in for a treat. Written by Dan Houser, RDR2 serves the third installment to the RDR series. It is actually a Prequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption. The game takes you back in time to 1899. It traces the life and times of Arthur Morgan and the Dutch Van der Linde gang. The game is available in single and multiplayer mode, both. Many of the critics have touted it to be the best game of 2018. With such weight on its shoulders, will RDR 2 make it on PC? Let’s find out.

RDR2: PC Release

RDR 2 is a finely polished game with one of the greatest visuals in the history of games, they say. It is a known fact that the PC version isn’t as polished as an Xbox or a PlayStation version of any game. Makers have time and again told us RDR2 performs better on the two platforms. So Imma be straight with you guys. RDR2 won’t be coming to PC, turns out. Fans have been vocal about this limitation of RDR2. There has been a huge demand on online platforms such as Reddit to bring the game on PC since years now. Ever since RDR came out, fans cannot help but demand a PC version of the same. At this point, one would naturally wonder if Rockstar is aware or even paying attention to any of such demands. Why of course it is.

So the incident goes somewhat like, back in 2011 Rockstar spoke about the no PC matter. It cited the issue as a logistical one. Back in the day, Rockstar Games said that it wasn’t viable for them to bring RDR on PC as yet. Citing technical, developmental and business issues, Rockstar closed the chapter. It’s been eight years, and it turns out with huge revenues churned, after all, Rockstar still hasn’t done anything. Red Dead Redemption 2 will continue to suffer from the same problem. Guys, RDR2 will not be coming to PC at all. And you definitely shouldn’t hope for anything now. The matter has been put to an end. Unfortunately for PC gamers, there’s no positive news in this regard. Rockstar hasn’t cared enough in 8 years to bring RDR2 to PC.

At the same time, as a fan of RDR series, I would like to tell you that there is a future possibility. I mean we can’t just rule it out completely. RDR2 might come to PC at some point. There’s always hope. Like for example with GTA5, Rockstar Games was forced to unveil it on PC in 2015. Same was the case with GTA4. Eight months later its initial reveal, GTA4 made it on PC. RDR2 might follow the suit. Fingers crossed for now.

That’s all for today. More as we have it. Stay tuned to OtaKukart.
