Now the new decade saw Kirkman venture the success again with his another comic book Invincible getting an adaptation of its own. All thanks to Amazon. The adult animated superhero drama was released on the OTT platform on the 25th of March 2021 with a premiere episode. Then went on to wrap up a successful season run by the end of the month with eight episodes intact.

The Creators Announce Invincible Season 2 And 3
The news about Invincible’s renewal from Amazon broke just before the finale of Invincible’s first season came in. Steven Yeun, who voices the main character of the series Mark Grayson joined hands with creator Robert Kirkman. They both went on to announce the good news on Robert’s Twitter handle. The video showcased a fun little conversation with Kirkman disturbing Yeun with 18 missed calls until Yeun finally answers.
Kirkman delivers the news that Amazon has picked up Invincible Season 2 and 3. Yeun gets the shock, but they enjoy the time of their life. They almost start discussing what could go down in the upcoming Invincible Season 2 and 3. More lineup and storylines that could bring. But Only to see the video cut out for the audience. Later, Robert Kirkman went on to share a statement of his own regarding the renewal. He went on to thank Amazon for supporting the series with utmost dedication. Thus, giving it a chance for an Invincible Season 2 and 3. Talking about his work, Kirkman compared the series and comics as a love letter to the adult superhero genre. The ones which he and Cory Walker, the co-writer of the original comic of Invincible, grew up reading. Watching the same characters, they wrote themselves in a full-fledged animated series is a satisfying journey for him. Hence, making him excited about two more seasons in turn.
The co-head of Television at Amazon Studios at the Amazon Studios, Vernon Sanders, had a few words on Invincible’s renewal for Season 2 and 3. He described the show as a brilliant example of a fresh and edgy approach. Especially when it comes to the superhero genre. He is glad that they invested in the adult animation genre, with Invincible being one of the firsts and executing the perfect success. Furthermore, Sanders praised Kirkman’s storytelling methods and an A-class performance of the voice actors. The one which resonated with the audience, and Amazon is happy to give them more of Invincible.
Invincible is an adult animated series created by Robert Kirkman for Amazon. The show is based on the comic book of the same name written by Kirkman. It follows the story of Mark Grayson, a normal teenager. But more than that, the son of the world’s strongest superhero Nolan Grayson also known as the Omni-Man.
