iCarly has come back with a new wave this time. The Nickelodeon show defined what it means to be a social media star in 2008. Now it’s doing it again in 2021 with Miranda Cosgrove returning as Carly Shay to helm her online show back. It’s been eight years since we last saw Carly hosting her show with Sam. There are definitely a lot of changes and we saw them with Paramount+ dropping the first three episodes altogether. Now the question remains if they tend to follow the same procedure or not. The first three episodes turned out to be establishing point for where the show has come. Although we miss a few faces, there are new faces as well. We saw why Carly needed to go back to where she came from after all. The world outside her has changed her and the only way to turn back is iCarly itself. We also saw her working on the mistakes she did in the show’s previous iteration by giving a chance to a boy who wanted his video to be featured. So far, all we know is iCarly Reboot is expected to have a total of 13 episodes in the first season. This comes much similar to the time the original show wrapped up its final season back in 2012. Paramount+ which is the show’s new home has already released the first, three episodes titled, iStart Over, iHate Carly, iFauxpologize. They came all together on the 17th of June 2021. iCarly Reboot – Recap From The First Three Episodes
Paramount+’s iCarly Reboot’s first episode reintroduced us to Carly Shay eight years into the future. A grown-up and much accomplished Carly Shay who has been part of a number of media opportunities. Anyway, she has moved back to Seattle and is looking forward to going back to the origins of her career. That is iCarly. With Sam not around anymore, she hopes her boyfriend Beau may join the show. Instead of saying yes to the show, Beau asks her if they should stay away from each other for a while.

Beau leaving Carly makes her sad turning her to another man who could join her show who turns out to be Luke. Carly comes to realize how desperate she has become. There was a time, all she wanted to do was good content. This takes her back to recreating the iCarly magic. This time for adults with Freddie and Spencer joining her.
The second episode sees Carly chasing down the hater who always bugs in her show’s comment section. Initially, she thought that’s is her old nemesis Nora but no. Until she comes across a handsome guy who she later dates. Only to find out he is the hater. The reason well because during her show’s initial run, she never played his video. This leads her to invite him on the show to make up for it.
The third episode saw a tiff between Spencer and Carly. She ruined the image of his sculpture by weirdly coming across it while eating meatballs. The picture goes viral with everyone seeing it as criticism with Spencer holding it against Carly. Even she finds leverage against Spencer with the help of Millicent. An old post of Spencer where he mentions not wanting kids. But at the end of the day, they reconcile to hug it out.
