Chapter 228 showed us the most-awaited revelation regarding Whyman’s true identity. It turns out that the mysterious Whyman that humanity has been afraid of is nothing but a huge pile of medusa devices. Yes, you read it right. The medusa devices are the advanced artificial intelligence that petrified the human race thousands of years ago. Now everything has started to make sense how Whyman was exactly aware of the Kingdom of Science’s emergence. All this time, Senku’s enemy was closer than he knew, and he had absolutely no clue about it. Can he negotiate with these mechanical life forms in Dr Stone Chapter 229?
Moreover, the medusa devices prioritize living and surviving like any other living organism. Thus, it’s easier for Senku to understand their needs and somehow find a way of stopping them. The make-shift weapons they brought aren’t of much use, and neither are they in any position to help these medusas with their primitive technology. Thus, the only way of negotiation is by offering to replenish their life force. We bring you the updates from the latest chapter of Dr Stone manga.
Dr Stone Chapter 229 Spoilers and Raw Scans
In Chapter 229, Senku and Stanley will try negotiating with the Whymans (or medusa devices). Since humanity’s survival is at stake, I don’t think Stanley will show any intent of betraying the science brigade. On the other hand, Kohaku isn’t really known for making the smartest decisions, so it’s best to leave the talking part to her teammates.
Senku will offer to provide them with new diamond batteries in exchange for stopping or delaying human petrification. Sooner or later, Senku must come up with a permanent solution for the Whyman problem. Humanity can’t afford to live with the fear of getting petrified, so Senku will try to exterminate the medusas even if it means bombing the entire region. “Do you want to die?” This single message kept popping up time and time again. Now that I think deeply, maybe Whyman was trying to save humanity from death by petrifying them. I am guessing that Whyman is the result of an experiment that went terribly wrong. You can call Whyman the Ultron of the Dr Stone universe; however, its origin is yet to be figured out. Raw scans and spoilers of Dr Stone Chapter 229 will be released about 2-3 days before the chapter’s official release, so don’t forget to check back on Friday. We will keep the section updated for you.
Chapter 228 Recap
In Chapter 228, Senku and his space exploration team find out that the massive black spot on the surface of the Moon is nothing but a huge mass of medusa devices. In other words, the godly entity that we were afraid of is the cumulation of these mechanical parasites. All this time, the mysterious enemy they pursued was closer than they thought.
These highly advanced devices can converse in any language through radio waves. Furthermore, the device they brought from Earth starts floating in mid-air and becomes the face of the mechanical structure. Once again, Whyman says, “Do you wanna die,” thereby confirming Chrome’s theory about Whyman not being willing to kill them. Rather, it seems that Whyman is trying to save humanity from death by petrifying them.
Senku infers that these mechanical beings show basic instincts of survival. Thus, they must operate according to replicable rules. Sadly, Senku hasn’t brought any fitting gift to negotiate with them, and neither does he have the technology to create more medusa devices. The only thing he can think of offering is replenishing their life force by changing the diamond batteries.
