What Is Moonshot About?

If you’re unfamiliar with Moonshot, it is a romantic comedy directed by Chris Winterbauer out of a script penned by Max Taxe. And it was produced by Greg Berlanti. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s the man behind great productions like Dawson’s Creek, Riverdale, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Additionally, Moonshot will premiere on HBO Max on March 31, 2022.

The movie goes about a dude that works in a coffee shop (Sprouse) named Walt who manages to sneak onboard a space shuttle en route to Mars. In this movie —somehow— humans already made it there. To get to Mars, he teams up with a girl named Sophie (Condor) a college bookworm with a snotty attitude who’s hellbent on meeting her boyfriend who’s all the way out on the red planet. Somehow, they get on board, and the movie describes their journey towards Mars.

Then, in the female lead, we have Lana Condor, you might remember her from “To All the Boys I Loved” films from Netflix. She plays Sophie, the bookworm girl. Then we have Mason Gooding (from Booksmart) playing Calvin.

Consequently, you won’t find it elsewhere. Luckily, HBO Max is a widely available platform, and it has a series of subscription plans that suit all sorts of budgets that you can use virtually from any device: your Smart TV, your computer, your videogame console, or your smartphone or tablet.
