How to read Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu Novel? This simply means a Moon-led Journey across the world. It is a Japanese light novel written by Kei Azumi. Misumi Makoto is a high school student. A Goddess from another dimension summoned him to be their hero to defeat the demons. The moment she saw Makoto’s face, she called him ugly and unworthy to be a hero. The Goddess couldn’t send him back to his world, so she leaves him to the wilderness to die. Now, it’s his turn to withstand the outcomes.
The story grasped the importance of having a timid and soft-hearted protagonist mercilessly hurt by a Goddess, who left him between unforeseen dangers. Tsukuyomi – the Moon God of Earth, happens to pass by. He grants him freedom and powers to use from thereon. As the story moves on, Makoto met his first two followers – Tomoe and Mio; both are beautiful as well as loyal towards him. Throughout the novel, you’ll find him loved by many demi-humans. But the worst part is that none of them like him as a person.
Character Analysis of Misumi Makoto
Makoto was meant to be the only person to travel the other world as per the agreement between the Goddess and his parents, but he was abandoned as he failed to attain the Goddess’s standards. Makoto is a short and black-haired guy with an average appearance. His mana is very strong, and people around him often react to it in different ways. Even though he is naive, he is humble and kind as well as dangerous at the same time. However, the different side of the story exhibits his habit of smiling when he is extremely angry.
Makoto is a socially inactive person, so people don’t find him charismatic. Both the female followers are with him for their purposes. While Mio, who’s also known as the Black Spider of Disaster, is a very direct and intelligent being. She loves to feed on his Magic Power. She’s still very loyal and helpful towards Makoto and won’t refrain from killing anyone who tries to harm him.
Tomoe is one of the superior Dragons belonging to the world of the Goddess who loves to go through his memories. Tomoe loves to take new challenges and likes to keep her calm. Makoto is the best option for them. The transition in our protagonist’s character is the best turning point in the premise. The naive and sensitive Makota is turned upside down after he is affected by all the tragedies that he has to go through. This was covered in every chapter.
Even though our character is very strong, he’s still got a lot of things to deal with, which turn the readers to be thoughtful towards him, even after being so powerful. Makoto’s irrational thinking and flaws are some things that made his character even more relatable. Makoto is known for doing things that are best for him. Even though he doesn’t have the presence of a strong character, he still turns him to be one.
