What does It Take To Be A Member Of Luffy’s Crewmate?
So, you would ask us, are there any criteria for which Luffy invites someone in his crew? The answer is No. Luffy does not even see the profession of someone he wants to invite. If someone looks interesting to Luffy, he asks them to join the crew irrespective of how strong or skillful they are. When he recruited Chopper, he didn’t even know that he was a doctor. The same happened with Nico Robin. Luffy didn’t know that she was the sole survivor of the Ohara clan and could read Poneglyphs. The only person who joined for his profession is Sanji and Brook, as Luffy always wanted to have a skillful cook and a musician on his ship.
